Vi kommer också att besöka Ijevan Wine Brandy fabrik, där besökare kan turnera produktionsanläggningarna, lära sig om vintillverkningsprocessen och njuta av guidade provningar som visar upp de autentiska smaker och aromer i Armenien.

Mariam, dotter till kung Ashot I, lovade att bygga 30 kyrkor för att hedra sin avlidne make. Hon höll sitt löfte hela livet. En av dem, Sevanavank, byggdes 874. Sevanavank grundades på 300-talet och upplevde sin utveckling på 800-talet. Förutom de två stående kyrkorna förtjänar 1600-talets unika khachkar med sina många bibliska scener särskild uppmärksamhet. Huvudstaden Jerevans namn registrerades för första gången på Sevanavants kupol.
Den första plats vi kommer att besöka är Sevansjön, skönheten i Armenien. Med 1900 meter över havet är Sevan den näst högsta sjön i världen med en sötvattenförsörjning. Sevan, av vulkaniskt ursprung, är omgiven av bergskedjor uppdelade i två delar och en stor halvö. Sevansjön har stor popularitet bland turister för både aktiv och passiv rekreation. Med ett maximalt djup på 83 meter är Sevan den enda av de tre historiska armeniska sjöarna som ligger på Republiken Armeniens territorium.
Även om det är vanligt i Armenien att använda främst tuffa eller basalt stenar för konstruktion, användes två typer av stenar för Haghartsin kloster: travertin och basalt. Byggt av vit sten, har detta kloster haft sin egen plats i armenisk kultur och utbildning sedan 900-talet. Klostret hade byggts i ungefär tre århundraden, i den vackra dalen av Tavush skogar, i hjärtat av skogen. Här ligger också klostrets refektorium, som anses vara ett arkitektoniskt mästerverk. Förutom de egentliga strukturerna finns här också ett kungligt mausoleum. Förresten, mycket välsmakande gata säljs i närheten.
Ett av de mest kända andliga och pedagogiska centrumen i det medeltida Armenien är Goshavank, som fick sitt namn från den mångbegåvade prästen och forskaren Mkhitar Gosh. Samlingen av lagar som skapats av honom anses exceptionell för sin tid, och användes i många lagstiftningar i världen till denna dag. Klosterkomplexet som består av fem kyrkor, tre kapell, en vestibul och en prästgård kommer inte att lämna någon nyfiken turist oberörd. Klostret ligger i Gosh byn med samma namn. Den broderade khachkar av 1200-talet, som tillhör mästare Poghos, förtjänar särskild uppmärksamhet.
Under den guidade turen till Ijevans vin- och konjaksfabrik utforskar du produktionshallarna där fina viner och konjaker tillverkas av lokala druvsorter. Lär dig om den fascinerande processen – från druvval och jäsning till lagring och buteljering. Efter turen kan du njuta av en degustation (provning) av flera signaturviner och konjaker, tillsammans med lätta lokala snacks. Du kommer att uppleva de djupa aromer, rika smaker och mjuka texturer som har gjort Ijevan ett älskat namn i Armeniens vinkultur.
Från fordonet, beundra atmosfären i detta historiska distrikt, där lokala hantverkare, konstgallerier och mysiga kaféer återskapar andan i gamla Armenien. Det är en pittoresk påminnelse om Dilijans förflutna som en favorit reträtt för konstnärer och poeter.

Awesome full-day tour, car (minivan) in perfect conditions, WiFi onboard (!), on time at each point of stop/restart, lunch in an offline venue (Restart Boutique Hotel, quiet/peaceful/great food/private), good driver, gorgeous Armenian’s landscapes and historical masterpieces. On top of all that, however, one of the best guide in the planet, who managed to interact, involve, teach, share, emphasize her knowledge and professionalism. Ages just 23, ms Anna Symonian marked the difference from a “guided tour” to an unforgettable experience! Well done Anna and One Way Tours!
Very scenic, cool weather. Good mix of monastry and nature. I did in the midst of hot july month and this was a good escape from the burning sun. It is around 20 degrees most of the time, need a light jacket when the wind blow.
It was a wonderful day trip. Sambad knows a lot and lead an interesting tour. We learned a lot about Armenia.

A long but great day! Our guide Ana was excellent, and so was the driver. I thought that the time allocated to each of the monasteries was perfect: enough to explore everything at a reasonable pace, but not too long either (in our group everyone more or less naturally finished exploring around the meeting time at each location).
