Jogyesa Buddhistiska Templet är ett av de viktigaste landmärkena inom koreansk buddhism, som först etablerades ända tillbaka 1935. Templet ligger i centrala Seoul och pryds av en gammal vit tall. Det finns några viktiga steg för att komma in i templet. Först måste du gå igenom ”Iljum”, som är enpelarporten. ”Iljumun” symboliserar uppdelningen mellan de levandes och den heliga Buddhas värld. Du kommer att få en vacker andlig upplevelse och kunna beundra de vackra, gyllene statyerna.
Vaktbyte – bevittna en spektakulär koreansk tradition Du kommer att se den minutiöst koreograferade ceremonin som äger rum framför Gwanghwamun Gate. Denna tradition uppstod under Joseondynastin och staden beslutade att ta tillbaka den för återskapande 1996. Soldaterna bär färgglada blå och röda uniformer och patrullerar graciöst slottets portar för att skydda kungen. Traditionen är mycket elegant och helt enkelt vacker att titta på! Gyeongbok Palace (utom tisdagar) – lev som en kunglig Nästa på vår Seoul City Tour är Gyeongbokgung Palace. Detta var Joseondynastins huvudhem som byggdes 1395. Detta är en fantastisk byggnad med 7 700 rum! Slottet har fått sig ett par smällar genom åren, vilket gör det desto mer intressant att se idag! Några av höjdpunkterna här är Gangnyeongjeon, kungens högkvarter, Geunjeongjeon där kungen accepterade formella besök, Gyeonghoeru – den speciella bankettsalen, med mera!
Koreas nationalpalatsmuseum grundades ursprungligen som "Koreanska kejserliga museet" 1908, men det döptes om och flyttades många gånger under sin historia. Idag innehåller museet cirka 45 000 föremål och kungliga skatter från Joseondynastins palats och det koreanska imperiet. Dessutom kan du hitta 14 av Sydkoreas nationalskatter som ligger här. Med 500 års historia på utställning kan du få en verklig känsla av det förflutna och upptäcka hur det var att leva som Joseon King och drottning.

Our guide (Alice) was amazing, and she showed us some interesting sites. I really loved the changing of the guard ceremony, the palace grounds, and the ginseng museum (bring your wallet if you want to buy premium quality ginseng products). The driver was also great, because he had to deal with crazy traffic and street closures due to a protest going on that day. We did the half day tour, but there were others who did the full day tour, so we did not return to our meeting point.

Great half-day tour covering some of Seoul’s most important landmarks, including Jogyesa Temple, Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum and the Changing of the Guard Ceremony.
