- Boendet är baserat i traditionell och enkel värdfamilj / pensionat / lodge - stil med grundläggande badrum bekvämligheter. Varje rum rymmer vanligtvis två till fem resenärer, och det kan vara nödvändigt för manliga och kvinnliga grupper att dela rum, om du inte bokar ett privat rum. Privata rum är möjliga på 45 euro extra avgift per natt per rum baserat på tillgänglighet
- Du kommer att bära dina tillhörigheter med dig under vandringen så vi rekommenderar att du packar lätt. För eventuellt överviktsbagage måste du boka bagagetransport eller förboka bagageförvaring i Tirana/Shkoder. På den andra dagen kan bagagetransport från Theth till Valbona vara möjlig beroende på tillgänglighet mot en extra avgift på minst 110 € (en person) eller 55 € per person för grupper.

Incredible experience! Such a unique way to see the north of Albania in a shorter amount of time. The hikes were breathtaking (difficult at times but beyond worth it). Brikena our tour host was on top of everything, checking in every day to make sure things were going well. Highly recommend. Everything was fantastic from start to finish.
Fantastic experience with Choose Balkans and Brikena made our experience the best. Her communication skills were incredible, making sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to check with us as were we’re on our journey and arranged for additional transport for our baggage. Loved our guesthouse too! Perfectly located next to restaurants, trails and an ATM.
Itinerary was perfect for a short trip to the Albanian mountains for travellers seeking just the right amount of adventure. The walk was long and hard enough to build up a sweat, without breaking the body. At the end of the night you would arrive to a cute guest house who knew of your arrival, have a shower and nap and make yourway downstairs to have an albanian dinner served to you and other travellers from the hike. very easy to make friends if you want some company and to share a few cheap beers!. I recommend staying the final night in Shkoder, as it had some beautiful little streets and was a lovely place to end the holiday. Brikena was my agent from Choose Balkons and was so helpful. She facilitated me changing my plans last minute and staying in shkoder and all the tourist bus drivers on the way knew the Choose Balkons company and were happy to help.
Everything has been wonderful! Brikena has been the most helpful and friendly organiser/contact person, and we have enjoyed everything - the incredible mountain views are worth the bumpy mountain roads.
Very well organised self-guided trip to Theth, Blue Eye, Valbones Pass and Komani Lake from Tirana. All the local transport and accomodation were great. Communication was excellent and Brikena was fantastic organising and making sure we were ok along the way. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic three-day trek! Booking the trip and contact in advance went very smoothly. We were well informed and communication was always very smooth. We did the three day trip to Valbone. Everything went very smoothly, communication was perfect. Brikena checked in on us multiple times. We received the info and all tickets on time. We had smooth transport and a great guesthouse to spend the night. We would definitely recommend Choose Balkans with incredibly helpful Brikena!
I had about 3.5 days of free time and wanted to do some hiking in the Albanian Alps. I have a fair amount of hiking/backpacking experience and didn’t feel the need to have a guide with us. This package was the perfect setup for me with my wife and our 16 year old daughter. All the transport and accommodation bookings were clearly communicated and well-suited to balance planning and freedom to set our own timeline. The pass trail is nicely marked, yet it was a comfort to still have the mapping app suggested by CB to ensure we didn’t stray off course. Regular check-ins by Brikena and the CB team expressed their concern with our experience and available support, if needed, at all the correct times. The steady climb from Theth was a beautiful challenge. We met many interesting travelers along the way. Water was abundant on the Theth side, and we filtered, probably not necessary, and topped off a few times. The foliage was in full autumn colors and breathtaking with the high peaks as the backdrop. I highly recommend this experience to anyone with at least moderate fitness. When you arrive on the other side of the pass, be prepared for many congrats from other hikers who are trekking without crossing over.
