We have visited Konzelmann Estate Winery a number of times in the past and have always really enjoyed our experiences, which is why today was particularly disappointing. We had a reservation for the Dome experience and arrived 45 minutes early because we were planning to purchase more than 20 bottles of wine to have shipped to our home. We also wanted to enjoy a glass of peach wine while we waited and take in the beautiful property. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we were met with confusion and very poor customer service. We were directed to contact Ling regarding our wine purchase, but she was not available, and we were told that no one else could assist us. What was especially disappointing was that on a busy Saturday in August, not a single staff member, including the manager, was able to assist us with purchasing wine or setting up a wine club membership. We were genuinely prepared to re-become wine club members and make a significant purchase, but there was simply no one available who could help us. We then spoke with the manager, Michael, who told us that we could go into the tasting room, sit at one of the tables, and have a glass of peach wine while waiting for our Dome experience. We followed those instructions, but no one came to serve us. After 30 minutes…. When we went to the bar, Hugh told us that he could not serve us without a ticket, despite Michael specifically telling us that we could have a glass while we waited. We then spoke with Dominqua, who unfortunately was also unable to provide any assistance or resolve the situation. After speaking with several employees, we eventually managed to get a glass of wine from Hugh. What made this especially frustrating was that we intentionally arrived early and were prepared to spend a significant amount of money at the winery. We wanted to purchase 20+ bottles of wine, potentially join the wine club, enjoy a drink, and spend some time on the property before our reservation. Instead, we spent a large portion of that time trying to figure out who could actually help us. We were also surprised to learn that the patio could no longer be opened and used for service due to licensing issues. However, during our visit, we saw two guests enjoying peach wine on the patio, which only added to the confusion about what was and wasn’t permitted. Unfortunately, after this experience, we decided not to purchase any wine at all. That is particularly disappointing because we had planned to purchase more than 20 bottles and were genuinely interested in becoming wine club members. To be fair, we did enjoy our Dome experience itself, and JP was wonderful and provided great service. We really appreciated him and want to recognize that he was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating visit. We were also told during our visit about ongoing legal disputes involving the winery and a neighbouring property owner regarding noise and special events. We cannot speak to the accuracy or details of those claims, but hearing about them was disappointing and added to our overall concerns about the direction of the property.we were also told that this neighbour specifically is the owner of trivial pursuit and has a ton of money……… After having several positive visits in the past, we expected much better from Konzelmann Estate Winery. Honestly, after today’s experience, I don’t think I will be returning. It is disappointing to say that because this was once a winery we genuinely enjoyed visiting and supporting.

My experience was amazing, especially thanks to wine consultant Gabriella who enlightened us with her deep knowledge not only of the Konzelmann wines , but also of the culture, history and traditions of NIagara on the Lake. Her charm is undeniable and she really makes you feel like your presence matters to her and to the whole Konzelmann organization. Thanks Gabriella. We had a blast. Rene A.

This was a PHENOMENAL experience for $16. Donna was our tasting guide and she was absolutely amazing. She was super knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! The tasting lasted about a hour and it was just me and my boyfriend. It is a beautiful place and the wines were amazing and this junk food tasting really upped our wine knowledge! Highly recommended this tasting and highly recommend Donna!!!

My girlfriend and I had a seated tasting experience with Wilfred and it was a great experience! He was very knowledgeable about the wines, helped us understand the nuances, and it was a very comfortable environment. Definitely recommend. Especially for the price!!

Treesha did a wonderful job guiding two wine novices through a delightful tasting experience. Wine was great— recommend the cheese board to go with your tasting!

We recently had a seated tasting with some friends from out west. The wines were delicious and the overall experience could not have been any better! Our server, Sarah K was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to our tastes! Thank you for a truly enjoyable experience!
