What a wonderful place that we had the opportunity to discover through a visit with the owner and a typical local meal made on site based on the products of this farm. The tour and then the explanations about the coffee plantation were very rewarding and this community is great to see. We warmly thank the people who run this place and who are involved in its development. See you soon in your future homestay!
I had one of the most unique, and amazing experience in Pokhara. As a coffee lover, I was keen to see the plants, hear the stories from the community. Boy oh boy, the hike was an experience in itself. As a beginner hiker, and on an extremely hot day, this was no easy feat. I am so grateful to my guide, Surya for taking care and looking out for me. He was calm, cool and collected throughout. Views at 1200 elevation was amazing. When we finally got to the village, I had a farm-to-table lunch and got to hear the story of Ambika. She’s a housewife and through this project, she actively leads it and hosts, and embarking on projects with sharing seeds. I then got to see how coffee was planted , honey being procured. I loved the honey! Everything was organic, and light! Amazing experience and I’m grateful to have done it!
Really enjoyed the visit, coffee and breakfast tasted delicious. The views were stunning and the tour was interesting. A great way to support the local community.
Thank you so much and understanding our project concept. Hope to see you soon again
I just spent a lovely afternoon with members of the Sharing Seeds community. I was the only one on the tour and they kindly accommodated my somewhat limited mobility by arranging a taxi ride to the farm rather than a hike. They warnly welcomed me, provided a delicious lunch (I regretted having a large breakfast!) and gave me a tour of the farms. We then chatted while the children played and I came away feeling connected and more understanding of small scale sustainable farming in Nepal. I highly recommend this tour if you're at all interested in sustainable farming or local culture.
Dear Beth, Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are glad to welcome you in our community. Hope to see you soon again in Pandeli village of Sarangkot
We were picked up on foot from our hotel and had a lovely hike down to the community. Great authentic lunch was provided along with some very tasty iced coffee. The tour was fun and so inspiring to see the farm and all that they grow. Would definitely visit again if we’re around the region again.
Dear Jamie, Thank you so much for your great review and we are very happy to know that you loved our day tour from Pokhara. We love to host you again here in Pandeli village
Fantastic experience to kick off the day! We had some amazing traditional breakfast and were then shown around the property. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are glad to know that you have enjoyed our breakfast
I had an amazing time on my day trip to the coffee plantation and farm with Sharing Seeds Co-op. I chose the option where we took a cable car to the top and then hiked down. The uphill walk to the cable car was manageable, though it was a bit warm—next time, I might opt for a taxi to the base instead. That said, it was a fantastic way to enjoy the mountain views, visit the Ganesh statue, and have meaningful conversations. I also appreciated that it was just the guide and me, which gave me space to move at my own pace—something important to me as I sometimes have low energy due to chronic illness. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable about local flora, history, and culture. Their English was excellent, as they had lived abroad, and they were able to answer all my questions easily. One of the highlights was identifying plants on the hike down—including edible ones like the delicious orange Himalayan berries we found along the trail. The farm itself made my heart sing—it’s a beautiful example of permaculture and sustainable agriculture. I had a great time nerding out about all the different trees and plants, and learning how coffee is cultivated in shaded areas that weren’t previously used. Lunch was delicious, the coffee was outstanding, and the team was warm and gracious. As a bonus, there was an adorable puppy on-site when I visited, which made the day even more special. They were so friendly and peaceful—I can absolutely see why someone would want to spend their whole life there! I was also grateful they arranged transportation home so I didn’t have to hike back. All in all, it was a perfect day trip—especially if you’ve got a trekking adventure ahead. Highly, highly recommend this experience.
