Denna turné tar dig tillbaka för tusentals år sedan till de första grupperna av människor som någonsin bodde på ön Santorini. Du kommer att ha möjlighet att besöka de 3 viktigaste arkeologiska platserna på ön, förstå historien och betydelsen av Santorini som plats och introducera er till antik grekisk historia.

Denna antika stad ligger på toppen av berget, som kallas Mesa Vouno. Vi kommer att nå nästan 400 meter över havet och beundra denna antika stad som grundades av Theras på 900-talet f.Kr.!
Med anor från det 5:e årtusendet f.Kr. är denna stad en avslöjande! Du kommer utan tvekan att bli förvånad över den avsevärt höga nivån av sofistikering i detta antika grekiska samhälle, som räknar många kulturella och tekniska landvinningar. Under detta besök kommer du att åtföljas av en professionell/licensierad reseguide som ger dig en privat rundtur i Akrotiri (längd: 1,5h min).
Museet för förhistoriska Thira kommer att öka vår kunskap för där, vi kommer att ha möjlighet att beundra alla fynden från utgrävningarna vid Akrotiri, såväl som andra viktiga platser på ön.

Had a wonderful time at the sites, enriched by the information from our guide Tasos. His itinerary was well thought out, helping us avoid the worst of the heat. The licensed archeologist at Akrotiri really brought the city to life as well, and the museum was a good 45 minutes of air conditioned historical appreciation.

Tasos was an incredible guide. Pickup in Oia, communication and narrative were excellent. The venues were stunning. Ancient Thira was breathtaking for mountain top scenery and extensive ruins you walk through. The small museum in Fira has many of the artifacts and frescos recovered from Akrotiri - take the time to notice the frescos and the unique finds - they will be discussed and located by your guide in Akrotiri. Then Akrotiri - wow. The scale and age of what has been uncovered is surreal. Our guide Giannis is an archeologist and was outstanding. Overall - a fantastic tour, well operated and interesting. Highly recommend.

One of the best tours we have ever taken, anywhere around the world. Guide Ted was knowledgeable about everything on Santorini and our archeological guide at akortiri was fantastic also. First rate customer service. Trip to Thira ruins on mountain is a lot of walking, but worth it as the ruins are as good a site you will see almost anywhere. Akortiri was unbelievable. Highly recommend!
