Upptäck Colonial Zone på det roligaste och giltigaste sättet som täcker mer mark på kortare tid. Under turnén delar vi både historiska och kulturella insikter som rider vid de vackraste dolda hörnen med många instagrambara platser. Det är det första du bör göra när du kommer till stan så du får ut mesta möjliga av din vistelse. Om två timmar kommer vi att rida genom havssidan för panoramautsikt över staden medan vi njuter av Karibien, där vi besöker alla de viktigaste parkerna och tårtorna samt hundratals gamla ruiner, kyrkor och alla slags små lokala företag som uttrycker det bästa av vår kultur. I slutet av turnén kommer du att känna dig som en lokal, känna till de bästa ställena att äta, dricka, dansa och shoppa. Kom och åka med oss och upplev det bästa från Santo Domingo.

Turen börjar i vår butik Zona Bici på Calle Arzobispo Meriño 217. Vi är bara ett kvarter från Colombus Plaza och stadens katedral så detta är vårt första stopp. Här delar vi med oss av en del av parkens historia och definierar några av sysselsättningen där. Därifrån rider vi ner till Plaza Padre Billini där vi delar hans historia och även den om La Casa del Tostado och andra restauranger och livlighet där.
Vi fortsätter att rida och når ruinerna av Dominicos-klostret och Parque Duarte, och delar återigen några av monumentens historia och kulturella betydelse. Härifrån går vi till Reginas gränd och ser Reginas Agelorums kyrka. Vi går upp till Calle Jose Reyes och träffar Calle las Mercedes. Där ser vi La Iglesia de las Mercedes, och det vi kallar det nya alternativa centrumet i Colonial Zone. Därifrån Rider vi nerför Calle Sanchez och träffar El Malecón och delar berättelsen om Balandra Aurora-monumentet. Här stjärnar vi längs den gamla stadsmuren.
Först södra muren, där vi besöker Park San Jose, Montesinos-monumentet, La Casa Del Gorjón och Plaza Pellerano Castro. Därifrån når vi calle las Damas, den äldsta gatan i staden, och det är där vi delar med oss av den mest historiska informationen. Vid det här laget har vi nått östmuren som rinner längs floden Ozama. Längs väggen ser vi viktiga monument som Cristopher Columbus House, Hernan Cortes House, La Fortaleza Ozama bland annat. I slutet av calle las damas når vi Plaza España där vi ser Don Diego Colons Alcazar, El Barrio de las Atarazanas och ruinerna av tullbyggnaderna. Därifrån går vi till Santa Barabara där vi delar slaveriets historia i staden. Vårt sista stopp är bara ett kvarter från butiken, där vi ser ruinerna av San Francisco. där delar vi med oss av några insikter innan vi går tillbaka till butiken.

It is a very pleasant and simple bike tour in terms of physical effort, yet comprehensive and detailed regarding the points of interest visited. In addition to the bike with a basket and a bottle of cold water, the bike tour includes: 1. information simply explained - whether historical, social, cultural, aesthetic, or political, without sounding scripted by AI or a guidebook 2. perspectives and opinions from the guide that invite participation and open discussion 3. suggestions from the guide - either general or tailored to the client The guide speaks very well and clearly; he is very courteous and professional, yet at the same time, it feels like you are accompanied by a family member or an old friend from long ago. The only thing I dislike is that there isn't a bike tour/price for solo tourists, but even so, the high quality of the tour is rewarding, and the guide gave me a little extra time.

An excellent place to explore the colonial area with interesting facts and stories associated with the tourist spots. The tour lasts about two hours, and the guide takes the time to share information about each place visited. The bicycles look a bit worn out, but it is an excellent way to explore the area.
Jordano gave us an excellent tour of Zona Colonial. He was born, raised and went to school in la Zona, and supplemented his own perspective with additional study, and it shows! He included well-known historical sites as well as places known to locals not included on the official map. He also include recommendations for shopping, music and food and sent us a map afterwards with our tour route and all the additional recommendations. We biked at a slow easy pace with frequent stops. Overall excellent tour! One tip is that the bikes are INCLUDED with the tour- no need to book an extra bike rental unless you want more time afterwards.
Wonderful way to see the old town and learn the history of the Dominican Republic! Our guide kept us all entertained with stories at each stop and pointed out locations we could come back to and spend more time later. My family of four had an excellent time - thank you!
