Du kommer absolut att älska San José efter denna upplevelse. Guidad av unga biologer kommer du att upptäcka naturen som gömmer sig mitt i Costa Ricas största stad. Du kommer att få uppleva med alla dina sinnen, vilda djur som du inte kunde föreställa dig fanns några minuter från centrum. Vi är en organisation som heter Oropopo Experience, som vill förändra hur turismen bedrivs i Costa Rica och samtidigt stödja unga forskare, forskare och lokala entreprenörer. Ytterligare anmärkningar: ** Från maj till november rekommenderar vi att du bokar morgonen, men eftermiddagarna är också bra. • Den enda naturvandringen i San Jose. • Utforska en av de sista gröna fläckarna inne i staden till fots med en lokal biolog. • Se, lukta, smaka, rör och lyssna på naturen. • Hitta färgglada fåglar, ätbara växter och en vild sengångspopulation på campus. • En andel av intäkterna går till Funga Conservation, en ideell stiftelse. • Smågruppstur med max 10 personer garanterar en intim upplevelse

Vi kommer att besöka campus vid University of Costa Rica, som har några av de största skogarna i San José Metro Area. På vårt första stopp kommer vi att leta efter bofasta och flyttfåglar, otroliga insekter och fantastiska växter och blommor. Vi kommer att prata om konst, historia, ursprungskultur och framför allt natur. Sedan besöker vi huvudcampus där vi kommer att leta efter sengångare som lever fritt och förhoppningsvis även se de två olika arterna som lever i vårt land. ANSVARSFRASKRIVNING: Detta är inte en rescuecenter eller sloth Sactuary Tour. Du kommer inte att kunna röra dem, om de hittas, kommer sengångarna att ses i deras naturliga livsmiljö, vilket betyder att de för det mesta kommer att sova på träden. Ändå är vår erfarenhet ditt bästa alternativ i San Jose om du är en sann naturälskare. Detta är en 2,5 timmar lång vandringstur, vissa delar kommer att utsättas för intensivt solljus. Inte en tung promenad, men tänk på din fysiska kondition

We enjoyed the tour with our guide Yendry. She was so kind and patient while explaining everything to us. Thought the campus was full of students, it was pretty silent, and so the walk turned out to be really calm. We saw 4 sloths: 2 males, a female and her baby, all of them in different spots. I strongly recommend to make this trip, you'll enjoy every little thing que guide has planned for it.
This tour was great. Our guide Santiago was wonderful - knowledgeable about flora, fauna, history, & culture. There were only 4 of us on the tour but we had plenty of questions... there wasn't a question he could answer. The area we toured was park-like, so plenty to see & discus. It was easy walking and a good amount of time. Seeing the sloths was a highlight, especially when one decided to come to ground. That alone was worth more than the price of the tour (which I think was a reasonable amount for all that we learned & saw). I highly recommend the tour.
The tour was wonderful. I would like to especially thank our guide, she was simply incredible and explained everything in such a detailed and enjoyable way. It was clear that she is passionate about her work. I highly recommend it.
Such a nice and passionate biology student with excellent English skills!! First-rate, really! And we were also lucky with the sloths. One climbed down to change trees, and we were able to experience it up close even without a lens. The guide knew everything possible about the animals, birds, flowers, and trees in Costa Rica and on the campus!
A beautiful experience, full of interesting facts. We had a rainy day, however the guide made it pleasant. An excellent project, the respect for biodiversity within the campus and that it is students or graduates who are the guides to continue preserving this program. Congratulations and Pura Vida!!

Highly recommended, a close encounter with nature in the heart of Costa Rica, we saw parakeets, different birds, trees, diverse plants, and more than seven sloths, one of them with her baby sloth, the guide was very kind and had very interesting explanations about the biodiversity of the area.
Great experience! Our guide had a hugh knowledge and we saw sloths. I can recommend it if younwant to experience nature in the city

A very nice informative tour. There was so much to see in the middle of the city, it was really cool. Our guide did a fantastic job, there was another group with us that spoke Spanish and had to switch between Spanish and English all the time because of that. Very enthusiastic and knew a lot to tell, top!
