Du kommer absolut att älska San José efter denna upplevelse. Guidad av unga biologer kommer du att upptäcka naturen som gömmer sig mitt i Costa Ricas största stad. Du kommer att få uppleva med alla dina sinnen, vilda djur som du inte kunde föreställa dig fanns några minuter från centrum. Vi är en organisation som heter Oropopo Experience, som vill förändra hur turismen bedrivs i Costa Rica och samtidigt stödja unga forskare, forskare och lokala entreprenörer. Ytterligare anmärkningar: ** Från maj till november rekommenderar vi att du bokar morgonen, men eftermiddagarna är också bra. • Den enda naturvandringen i San Jose. • Utforska en av de sista gröna fläckarna inne i staden till fots med en lokal biolog. • Se, lukta, smaka, rör och lyssna på naturen. • Hitta färgglada fåglar, ätbara växter och en vild sengångspopulation på campus. • En andel av intäkterna går till Funga Conservation, en ideell stiftelse. • Smågruppstur med max 10 personer garanterar en intim upplevelse

Vi kommer att besöka campus vid University of Costa Rica, som har några av de största skogarna i San José Metro Area. På vårt första stopp kommer vi att leta efter bofasta och flyttfåglar, otroliga insekter och fantastiska växter och blommor. Vi kommer att prata om konst, historia, ursprungskultur och framför allt natur. Sedan besöker vi huvudcampus där vi kommer att leta efter sengångare som lever fritt och förhoppningsvis även se de två olika arterna som lever i vårt land. ANSVARSFRASKRIVNING: Detta är inte en rescuecenter eller sloth Sactuary Tour. Du kommer inte att kunna röra dem, om de hittas, kommer sengångarna att ses i deras naturliga livsmiljö, vilket betyder att de för det mesta kommer att sova på träden. Ändå är vår erfarenhet ditt bästa alternativ i San Jose om du är en sann naturälskare. Detta är en 2,5 timmar lång vandringstur, vissa delar kommer att utsättas för intensivt solljus. Inte en tung promenad, men tänk på din fysiska kondition

This was a wonderful experience! Priscilla is an amazing nature guide and the forest on the university is beautiful! We learned so much about the local birds, insects and even saw three sloths! Priscilla patiently answered everyone's questions and set up her telescope at each stop so we could see the wildlife up close. I got wonderful photos with just my iPhone. We were able to see the wildlife much better on this tour than the wildlife sanctuary we visited the next day. We are planning a return trip to Costa Rica next year and plan to go on this tour again. Thank you Priscilla!
Such a great tour. Really really informative and friendly guide called Mary. We saw a great variety of animals. Including sloths and carpenter bees.
We had a few hours to spare in San Jose and were keen to see our first sloths. This trip didn’t disappoint. Rigo was excellent and he took us around the reserve in the university grounds. We saw both species of sloth, one mum had a baby. Highly recommended if you have a couple of hours to spare.
It was a marvelous window to the bioiversity of San José / University of Costa Rica. Our guide, Priscilla, was extremely patient, always helpful with enciclopedic knowledge, emotional about nature. We saw sloths, birds, insects, learned about plants and conservation. We ended at the Zoological Museum at UCR. I would do it again if I could.
Incredible experience with my family, my 8 and 6-year-old children enjoyed seeing the beautiful sloths =) 💜 learning about different insects and the vegetation, our guide Dariel explained everything in detail during the tour, his experience is evident, he was very kind. 100% recommended, we returned even more in love with the sloths💜😍

On our first day in Costa Rica rather than having a rest day we booked this tour and it was a great introduction. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were a bit uncertain about doing a nature tour in the centre of the city but we saw loads of things (including sloths!) and learnt a lot.

Our guide was very kind and took the time to explain everything to my group. He accommodated me even though I was late due to bad traffic. I learned a ton of things in a short period of time and got to see the sloths! Our guide used a telescope so we could view the sloth better! I highly recommend booking this tour!
Guide was excellent. A recent college grad. Get to walk the university of Costa Rica and see some nice urban green areas. Saw both types of sloth.
