- Du kommer att uppleva Costa Ricas kulinariska kultur på 3 olika platser. - Du kommer att smaka Costa Ricas gastronomi på noggrant utvalda restauranger (Bocas, kaffe, naturliga drycker, cocktails, etc), och lära sig om kultur och historia. - Du kommer att lära dig om de historiska aspekterna av grannskapet medan du går till nästa stopp. - Varje rätt tillagas med färska produkter som odlas inom landet. (Ekologiskt och från jord till bord) - Våra Tico kockar, chefer eller guider kommer att förklara för dig konceptet med varje lokal maträtt förvandlas till sin egen signatur maträtt. 1) Specialkaffe workshop (kaffeprovningar, mat och allt du behöver veta om kaffe). 2) Läckra Costa Ricanska matprovningar på en lokal restaurang (motsvarar en hel måltid). 3) Unik mixologiverkstad, lokal sprit. Vi arbetar med små grupper, och turerna blir fulla lätt. Om du inte hittar tillgänglighet att boka, vänligen kontakta oss; vi kan skapa en ny tur för grupper om 2 eller fler personer.

Vi kommer att gå till Escalante stadsdel och besöka restauranger, kaféer och barer i detta område. Turen börjar kl 12:00. - Första stopp: 2 medelstora förrätt, en dryck och ett matsmältningsorgan. - Andra stopp: 1 starter + huvudrätt + en hantverkare öl / vin eller läsk + efterrätt. - Tredje stopp: Kaffeverkstad + 3 kaffebesökningar + Matsmältning + En aptitretare. - Fjärde stopp: Mixology workshop av mixologist (World Class Mixologists) + 1 cocktail gjord med lokal likör. Digestives är små söta cocktails, den har likör.

Our guide Marco was awesome; he was very friendly and very informative. We learned so much about the history of Costa Riica, the food, and culture. Everything we tasted was amazing. A must when visiting San Jose area.

This was an absolutely awesome experience. Vannia , our super guide, was outstanding!!! My sister and I were lucky to have a private tour with Vannia!! The whole experience was like 3 friends out on the town! The coffee tasting was amazing! The food tasting stops were extraordinary!!! The mixology class was a hoot!! This is a must do tour of the Escalante area of San Jose! Very hip scene with many restaurants and bars! Loved every minute!!! ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️
Adriana was very knowledgeable about Costa Rican food. She made sure the dishes we ate were from fresh local food. Also when, at the last minute, we requested a change in the plan, she adapted quickly and appropriately. She also provided future restaurant options.
What an AMAZING experience! We loved walking around the Escalante area with Adri. She was really knowledgable and very personable, and we truly enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. She picked some DELICIOUS restaurants with local ingredients for us to try. Everything was yummy, and it was a fun food experience to introduce us to the unique ingredients available in Costa Rica. We were glad that we came hungry because we truly got our money's worth in tastings. The coffee was a fun experience, but we especially enjoyed the chance to try a local cocktail and be a mixologist for a minute. We would 100% book this experience again with Adri!
We take food tour in every country we travel to and this tour was one of the absolutely best. Perfect selection of restaurants and unique to Costa Rican food and drink. Well worth the price & you won’t be disappointed! Cheers!
What folks want out of food tours can vary wildly. My family looks for great locally sourced cuisine that highlights the local culture and influences. The Foodie tour we experienced in San Jose was amazing. We were able to reach out and ask for the non-alcoholic version of their tour (we have teenagers). The staff were happy to accommodate☺️. The pace, quality, and volume of food was just right. Several dishes were presented at each stop; each highlighted Costa Rican ingredients and dishes. Most were super healthy, all were delicious! The host/ambassador (Adri, the founder of Foodie☺️) was super knowledgeable about the food, the neighborhood, and obviously had deep relationships with the restaurants. We ended the night full and super delighted we spent the evening with Foodie tours of San Jose.
Fantastic introduction to food and coffee in the area. Lovely little cafes and traditional restaurants. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the culinary scene, and was able to explain about everything. I’m so glad we booked this because we would have missed out on the quaint cafes and restaurants if we had not had a guide.
On a trip with a few friends, we wanted to explore food that represented the culture and life of Costa Rica. This excursion hit the mark 100%. We started off at a specialty coffee shop where we explored Costa Rican coffee and different techniques to bring out the unique qualities of the beans. Then we went to a small, bustling restaurant that specializes in farm to table cuisine. The all the dishes were full of beautiful color, texture, and flavor. To finish up, we hit a local gastro pub/bar where we got to experience a local liquor which tasted wonderful! I am impressed with the dishes and specifically the restaurants/spaces that Adriana has intentionally chosen to represent her beautiful country. I am especially thankful to get the opportunity to meet her and feel her expertise and passion for food and Costa Rican culture.
If interest in new ideas and creative vegetarian and new takes on Costa Rica cuisine is of interest then this is for you.Focus on locally supplied produce also a major focus.The coffee education experience was enlightening even to a confirmed coffee snob.Tour leader was very personable,knowledgeable and committed to more than your.
