Strat med välsignelse av den Allsmäktige besöker den magnifika Sultan Qaboos stora moskén, som har utsökta konstverk och fläckade kakel och vi rekommenderar att du tar med en huvudduk eller motsvarande en hijab för damer och klä dig korrekt. Shorts och ärmlösa toppar är inte tillåtna. Trädgårdsodlingarna med kokos, banan, papaya och grönsaksplantager blir nästa stopp, därefter åker vi till Al Baleed, som finns med på UNESCO:s världsarvslista, och Frankincense Land Museum. Den visar regionens historiska och arkeologiska arv, liksom dess exceptionella sjöfartstradition. Efter vårt besök på den historiska platsen fortsätter vi till Al Haffa Souq och ett stopp vid Al Husn Palace. Det bästa stället att köpa Frankincense tuggummi och rökelse är på Al Haffa Souq. Souq säljer också ett brett utbud av produkter som guld och silver smycken, textilier, kläder och andra traditionella artefakter.

Rökelselandets museum. Den visar regionens historiska och arkeologiska arv, liksom dess exceptionella sjöfartstradition. Al Baleed-anläggningen är öppen från 08:30 till 20:00 på söndagar till torsdagar och från 15:00 till 20:00 på fredagar och lördagar.

Our trip to Salalah was a magical experience. All thanks to our tour guide and dear friend Mohammed. His remarkable demeanour, welcoming and friendly nature made us feel at ease from the very beginning. He is not only incredibly kind and respectful but also a true expert in the field. He showed us all the iconic landmarks, cliffs and pristine beaches of Salalah with fervour. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were immersed and engaged in the experience. Salalah felt like paradise.. We were touched with its peaceful and exotic atmosphere. Most of all we felt very safe even though we were just two ladies and a young girl travelling for the first time to Salalah. He tailored the trip according to our needs. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks to Mohammed for making our trip to this heavenly corner of Oman truly joyful and memorable.
