Människor som förändrade världen arbetade, levde, underhöll och utbildades i Inns of Court, inklusive: *Åtta av undertecknarna av den amerikanska självständighetsförklaringen * Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistans grundare som ägde över 200 skräddarsydda kostymer och som advokat i London, sades aldrig bära samma sidenslips två gånger. * Mahatma Gandhi som var tvungen att lova sin mor att han skulle avstå från kött, alkohol och kvinnor innan han kunde skriva in sig i Inner Temple. * Sir William Blackstone som påverkade handels- och straffrätten i USA och brittiska samväldet och sa: ”Det är bättre att tio skyldiga kommer undan än att en oskyldig lider.”

Byggd 1573 och sägs vara "det mest perfekta" exemplet på en elisabetansk byggnad som finns kvar i centrala London. Så mycket av den engelska historien kretsar kring denna byggnad.
Vi stannar utanför Inner Temple Hall. Shakespeares Henrik VI del 1 antyder att Rosornas krig uppstod med plockning av röda och vita rosor i Temple Gardens. Trädgården är vanligtvis öppen för allmänheten under veckan på eftermiddagen.
Byggt 1162 av Tempelherreorden, i skönlitteraturen var det med i Dan Browns bok och film, Da Vinci-koden, och faktiskt i Magna Carta-förhandlingarna, när kung Johan använde templet som en av sina två baser i London. Hallen byggdes 1560 och rekonstruerades efter bombskador med ett betydande bidrag från American Bar Association. På torget finns en staty över värdshusets mest framstående före detta medlem. Hör hans historia och besluta om det borde ha varit en staty till honom.

Keith, our guide, was very knowledgeable as he's a retired lawyer so you get loads of extra inside information from him on top, not just about the history of the buildings but how the legal system actually works. It was a well paced 3 hour tour and even though I lived in London for over 20 years, we went to a part of London I didn't even know existed. So highly recommended it.
Very informative chance to learn about the British legal system and culture of the courts, as well as the history and famous people associated with the system.
This was the very best experience. Our guide was very engaging and our whole 3 + hours was packed with the history of the area as well as very interesting information on the legal system in the UK and abroad. His very personal experiences of training and working as a barrister added extra dimensions to the tour. An absolute must for anybody!

Our guide, Keith, was punctual, accessible and totally professional. Prior to embarking on this guided walk, I am ashamed to say I knew little about important aspects of the English legal system. This tour was an excellent and entertaining introduction to the development of that system. I particularly valued the opportunity to sit in on a case in the Royal Courts of Justice. Very worthwhile!

Very interesting and recommended. Our guide Erick is a retired lawyer who worked in the area and knows it wonderfully. He is always willing to answer questions thoroughly, and since there were only three of us, it allowed for a very pleasant and informative experience. We entered to witness a trial, which was very unexpected.
The tour leader was extremely well informed. He was pleasant and shared interesting facts and "behind the scenes" information about the tour topic. He clearly cared about our group and readily answered all of our questions. the three hours flew by; I would highly recommend the tour.

Absolutely fascinating tour of a part of London I didn’t know. Beautiful architecture, peaceful squares and some nice eateries and pubs. It was interesting learning the history behind the Inns of Court and getting into the High Court itself. I will definitely revisit.
