Resplan

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide Anna is an expert in the archeological museum’s works of art. She brought everything to life for us. Additionally, she is highly organized and structured our tour so that it fit perfectly with the previous day’s visit to Pompeii. You could never have the experience we had with the head set. Take this tour!
We had been to Pompeii and this museum had many of the artifacts from Pompeii and other precious historic and ages prior to the tragedy in Pompeii.
For me, it is one of the most beautiful museums in the world. You must visit it because the exhibits are beyond wonderful before going to Pompeii or Herculaneum.
I chose to visit it after having been to the excavations of Pompeii to admire the mosaics, frescoes and furnishings from that site. I highly recommend it.
As I said in my previous comment it is worth a visit, it has so many sculptures, collected most of Pompeii and Ercolano.
Take your time. A stunning building with a lot of very interesting artefacts from Pompeii. It’s a big building which I didn’t do full justice to due to time constraints.
The museum is basically dedicated to the remains found in Pmpeii and Herculado. There are masterpieces such as the mosaic of the house of the Faun or the collection of frescoes. It is a shame that half the area dedicated to Egypt is closed even if no reason is observed. Unlike important continental museums, there is no cafeteria.
The Archaeological Museum of Naples alone is worth the trip. While the museum itself, located in the former premises of the city university, is somewhat outdated, the works presented there are of exceptional interest. Nothing less than the world's finest collection of statues, frescoes and mosaics from Roman sites in the region (Pompei, Herculaneum, Stabies...) in remarkable states of conservation. Also magnificent Roman copies of older Greek statues (whose originals have since disappeared) and many everyday objects in a very good state of preservation. In short, to advise absolutely!
If you have decided to come to the city of noise, do not miss the most beautiful museum in the city. It houses an extraordinary collection of Roman statues in marble (including a colossal “Hercules Resting”) and bronze (including a magnificent runner). And a beautiful little collection of Roman erotic objects and decorations. It also houses extraordinary mosaics most of Pompei and Herculaneum. You will be able to immerse yourself in the daily life of the Romans of the 1st and 2nd century AD. A time when no one had ever heard of a certain Jesus... See also the beautiful Egyptian collection. So it's a must-see. Admission 12€ for adults, free for -18 years old.

Fiorenza was great, she stayed extra time with us to make sure we cover all the highlights in our own pace. She made sure to customize the tour as per our interest and knowledge level. It is obvious that Fiorenza really likes her job, she made this experience for us extra special by being kind, flexible and friendly, her English was great, grazie mille Fiorenza! : Highly recommended this tour for the cultural travelers and seekers of that extra historical content!
