Denna turné representerar en perfekt kombination av unika naturliga platser att besöka i den här delen av Sicilien och önskan att utforska de smaker och aromer som erbjuds av området. Vi guidar dig genom Alcantaradalen med sin flod och kanjon, Gurne nedsänkt i vild natur, den medeltida byn Castiglione och en källare med vin- och matprovning. Med denna upplevelse som kombinerar natur och smak kommer du att kunna fördjupa dig helt i östra Sicilien. Dessa platser går inte att missa för alla i dessa områden. Alcantara Gorges kommer att vara turnéns första stopp. Det är en plats där den 8000 år långa erosiva processen av floden som rinner över basaltklippan har skapat en djup klyfta som bildar små stränder i stränderna. En plats med speciell naturlig skönhet. På denna plats kan du också gå i flodens grunda vatten inne i ravinen och beundra de skirt formade väggarna. Om du inte vill gå in i floden, beundra majestätet i dessa unika geologiska strukturer utifrån.
Gurne dell'Alcantara är naturliga pooler som bildas genom erosionen av några vattenfall i berget. Du kommer att kunna beundra den frodiga faunan och floran och njuta av flodens och vattenfallens gurglande.
Castiglione di Sicilia är en medeltida by som dominerar Alcantaradalen. Här tar vi en kort promenad för att beundra utsikten från ovan nära den mycket höga klippan som Lauria-slottet och basilikan San Giacomo är byggda på. I Castiglione tar vi också en kort paus i ett typiskt konditori, där vi kan smaka på den berömda cannoli och hemgjorda granitas.
I denna vingård, som ligger på tusen meter över havet på Etna, odlas druvan Nerello Mascalese och vinframställningen utförs. Provningen innebär presentation av fem distinkta glas: tre vita viner och två röda, tillsammans med en typisk lunch. Mat- och vinupplevelsen börjar vid bordet, vägledd av sommelierens förklaringar. Före eller efter evenemanget kommer det att vara möjligt att gå genom vingårdarna och besöka området för vinframställning.

Amazing private tour experience! The wine tasting is the draw. Though our favorite parts were seeing the countryside beforehand. The gorge and natural swimming pools were so cool to see. We would have never to known to go there if it wasn’t for this tour. Giancarlo was a fantastic tour guide! Highly recommend!

This is a really nice day trip! We were picked up at our accommodation even though it is not on the list. It was just our company so we got all the attention and could hear well. The host was great, nice and spoke good English. He was also very helpful, even took us to a big grocery store on the way home. The host also showed herbs, fruits and vegetables growing wild. The wine and charcuterie tray served at the vineyard was very good. We had a wonderful day.

We had good weather, but it would not have been quite as fun without it. We spent a good deal of time outside. The sites were gorgeous and unique, the food and wines were delicious. The winery is a quasi-family run operation with a great spread for lunch. Guides’ English was good and responded to questions. Highly recommended if you want more than climbing Etna.
I like the secret route, exploring and learning the plants and fruits. Friendly and nice introduction of the cities and cleared a lot of Italian myth for me.

My husband and I booked a very last minute tour whilst in resort, we wanted a winery tour/tasting afternoon out and found this option. We got way more than we bargained for and would highly recommend! Communication to confirm plans beforehand was great. We were picked up from our hotel on time and in a clean vehicle. I hadn’t realised but it was a private tour which made it a little more special. A few picturesque stops on the way to some really beautiful natural spots, very informative and friendly. A nice cannoli treat during on of the stops. We were offered the choice of routes to reach the more secluded areas, we opted to do the more adventurous routes but would recommend considering the alternative if health/fitness doesn’t allow. However, if you do choose the more active option, I would recommend trainers instead of flip flops. The last stop was at Patria Vini vineyard, we started with a welcome Prosecco, then on to a tour around the winery followed by a lovely lunch and wine tasting. We were in quite a big group so not that easy to hear at the back but you got to see everything well. For lunch we were put on a private table but big groups could sit together easily. Wine was explained with each course again in fantastic English. Just enough time at the end to have a wander in the shop and purchase some bottles to bring home. We were then driven back to the hotel. All in all I would say it was good value for money, an interesting unique day out, with a fantastic and personable guide.
