Utforska Korouoma Canyon på vintern, känd för sina frusna vattenfall och dramatiska klippformationer som skapar ett av Lapplands mest distinkta naturlandskap. Arctic GM drivs av The Original Aurora Hunters® och är ett familjeägt företag med rötter i Lappland som går tillbaka till 1600-talet, som kombinerar lokal kunskap med fokus på guidad vandring i små grupper. Efter upphämtningen kommer du att resa till Korouoma naturreservat, som ligger bort från livliga turistområden. Vandringen tar dig genom skogsstigar och längs kanjonbotten, där frusna vattenfall bildas under vinterförhållanden. Tempot är måttligt, med tid att njuta av landskapet, ta bilder och lära sig om områdets geologi och natur. Under vandringen stannar du till för att njuta av en traditionell lappländsk grillfest med varma drycker i en lugn utomhusmiljö.

Börja din upplevelse med hämtning i Rovaniemi och överför till Korouoma naturreservat, som ligger ca 1,5 timme från staden. Vid ankomsten startar ni en guidad vandring genom skogsstigar som leder in i kanjonområdet. Rutten passerar genom varierande terräng, inklusive skogsstigar och sektioner längs kanjonbotten. Under vandringen besöker du områden där frusna vattenfall och isformationer utvecklas under vintern. Den exakta rutten väljs av din Guide baserat på rådande förhållanden. Vandringen är i måttligt och stadigt tempo, med regelbundna stopp för att njuta av landskapet, ta bilder och vila. Halvvägs genom vandringen stannar du vid en anvisad eldplats för att njuta av en traditionell lappländsk grill med varma drycker. Efter genomförd vandring återvänder ni till Rovaniemi. Total längd är ca 6–7 timmar.

The frozen water tour in Rovaniemi was an amazing winter wonderland experience. Walking across the frozen landscape felt magical, and the barbecue in the snow made the whole trip even more special. A simple, beautiful, and unforgettable adventure.
I had an incredible time! The guide and driver, Victor, truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe and happy. Because the snow was melting a little, some parts of the hike were rather slippery, but Victor was very patient – he waited for everyone and offered help whenever it was needed. He was also a fantastic photographer, even lying down in the snow to get the best angles for our photos. Aside from the stunning views (the frozen waterfalls and the red river – just wow!), I learnt quite a bit about the geological formations and the flora and fauna around the canyon. And during the hike, Victor and our group picked up loose studs that had fallen off other hikers’ traction cleats. It felt so good to help preserve the environment, even in small ways! To top it all off, the BBQ was a nice touch. It was simple but cosy, set in a beautiful spot, and provided warming food after the hike. Highly recommend this tour and Victor to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!

Our day tour to Korouoma was beyond amazing! Our guide Natalia was outstanding leader and organiser. She kept the spirit of the group so high, she was smiling and welcoming us all. She gave us confidence and was unstoppable and full of energy I love every minute of this tour. Would repeat over and over again
We went to Frozen Falls with William and honestly, it was above all expectations. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area, which made the whole experience even better. He was super helpful on the tricky icy paths, and you can really see he cares about what he does. The waterfalls are incredible—definitely a unique adventure.
An amazing experience.Our guide Sanija was very pleasant person. She was taking care of us she made sure we were safe and warm.She prepared for us a delicious barbeque. She was very informative on our excursion. She was helping us capture this moment,offered ta take us pictures to take home with us. We had a fantastic day. The hike was so beautiful and well suited for us as beginners with medium fitness levels. The frozen waterfalls are very impressive. Our guide Bruno showed us some vantage points that we would not have found on our own and gave us a lot of knowledge. Vegan sausages were also organised on request for the barbecue.
