Turen avgår från Tauranga Port Gates och börjar med en naturskön bilresa förbi Mount Maunganui och ett stopp vid den vackra Mount Main Beach, känd för sin gyllene sand, surfing kust och utsikt över den ikoniska Mauao. Vi lämnar Tauranga bakom oss och reser inåt landet över Kaitunafloden och färdas söderut genom den frodiga landsbygden i Bay of Plenty mot Rotorua, Nya Zeelands geotermiska och kulturella innerstad. Vid ankomsten till Rotorua stannar vi vid Sulphur Point för vacker utsikt över Lake Rotorua och en introduktion till regionens unika geotermiska landskap. Vi fortsätter sedan genom den eleganta Government Gardens och besöker den historiska Rachel Spring, en gång känd för sitt terapeutiska mineralvatten och nära kopplad till Rotoruas spa arv.

Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable about the area and the Māori culture. She has lived in the area all her life so we got a lot of insight from a local perspective. The Māori cultural experience and school was educational and the geyser was cool to see as it spouted 10-20 feet into the air. She also pulled over and showed us a beautiful beach and a kiwi farm and told us about how they almost lost their entire crop because of pests that had been brought in that killed the crop.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning about the indigenous people of New Zealand and the many natural wonders in New Zealand. The tour was led by a woman named Nicole and she was fantastic! She had such a assessed for life and a profound appreciation for the things we were seeing. I think she had as much fun showing us as we had seeing everything.

A very nice trip to Rotorua. The bus the stops and the information were very informative. The stop at the Maori with the performance and the geothermal energy as well as de Geyser were a nice experience.
