This was an excellent master class in making some basic Spanish cuisine standouts: Paella, Gaspacho, Sangria. These are extremely simple recipes, but the devil is in the details and exactly what you do how you do it and what to watch for and that’s exactly what you’ll get out of this class. This class is suitable for English speakers, but you’ll get a lot more out of it. If you have at least some Spanish as you will be able to ask questions from the hosts’ wealth of knowledge around the edges. It’s a hands-on class, though some of the Long cooking prep items have been made before, but you are walked through the process and there are a few tips and tricks that you won’t find in cookbooks. In addition to the lovely hospitality and cooking, and the knowledge transmitted, their apartment is to die for. This course focuses on seafood and gaspacho has bread in it so in order to get the most out of it, try to go in without dietary restrictions. I believe they would be happy to accommodate any such, but I wouldn’t go with you. It’s totally worth it, just book it now.

Lovely evening. Very Personal because we were in the hosts’ home. Love having their dog amongst the group. The view was wonderful overlooking the harbor.

Alfonso welcomed us into his home and created an amazing experience. From being greeted with his dog to the view from his terrace and the table display, to his knowledge of cooking, it was all so well done and my husband, in laws, parents, and I had an amazing time. And it was just the right balance of doing the cooking and watching the cooking too!

It was a great experience! Alfonso is an ex chief and very knowledgeable and explains everything we did in the kitchen. We made a three course dinner with an amazing sangria. I would highly recommend booking when in Barcelona. PLUS A VERY CUTE DOG.

I waited to make paella until I could learn from a local and have an authentic experience and I'm so glad I did. Cooking and learning from Alfonso was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and so thorough with his explanation. I really left with a greater appreciation for the dish. And that's not all-- we made delicious gazpacho and sangria as well, and the whole meal was topped off by cream de catalan. We took it all in on the most beautiful terrace overlooking the marina.
