Utforska den italienska landsbygden och upptäck antika romerska ruiner på denna 4 - eller 6 - timmars antika Appian Way, katakomber och romerska akvedukter tur med kvalitetscykel eller elcykel. Cykla på den antika Appian Way med din Guide, förundras över romerska ruiner som Aurelianus murar, Maxentius cirkus och Caecilia Metella grav. Dyk djupt in i katakomberna San Callisto eller San Sebastiano från 200-talet (endast i 6-timmarsversionen av turen) för att lära dig om romerska begravningstraditioner och njut av personlig uppmärksamhet från din Guide på denna tur i liten grupp, begränsad till 10 personer. Denna tur finns i två varianter: en kortare 4 - timmars version och en längre 6 - timmars. De två varianterna är identiska i resväg men skiljer sig åt i sina inneslutningar. Förundras över den imponerande Porta di San Sebastiano, en port i 200-talets försvarsmurar i Rom.
Rid på "Regina Viarum", drottningen av vägarna - en gammal motorväg byggd på 300-talet f.Kr., sträckt mellan Rom och Brindisi (i sin ursprungliga form, ca 538 km lång!)
Under den 4 timmar långa rundturen, en kort paus för att begrunda den massiva begravningen under jord, viloplats för en halv miljon själar. Observera : på onsdagar ingår inte detta stopp i 4-timmarsturen. I 6 - timmars tur, en 45 - minuters guidad besök av dessa 2: a århundradet katakomber, i all sin komplexitet och mysterium! Obs! På onsdagar kommer den 6 timmar långa rundturen att besöka San Sebastianos katakomber (istället för San Callixtus).
Stanna till vid de monumentala ruinerna av denna stora villa och dess angränsande Circus (en privat kappkörningsbana), med anor från början av 300-talet e.Kr.
Det största mausoleum som någonsin byggts på Via Appia Antica – tillägnad en ung adelsdam på nollhundratalet.
Bevittna de vidsträckta resterna av denna 2: a-tals villa, som väckte avund av kejsar Commodus (stopp för denna höjdpunkt ingår endast i den 6 - timmars rundtur).
En stor park som korsas av flera akvedukter med valvbågar som försörjer Rom med vatten.

- Observera att cirka 40% av rutten för denna tur sker i staden. Vi rider noggrant utvalda stadsgator, men viss trafik är oundviklig för att ansluta Ancient Appian Way Park till akvedukterna Park. I de återstående 60% av rutten (ridning i parkerna) stöter vi på ingen trafik.
- Du kommer att täcka ett område på cirka 27 km, varav 60% sker i terräng. Svårighetsgraden på denna tur är medel (svårt med barnstol eller barnförlängning monterad på cykeln).
- Barnpolicy : (1) Spädbarn under 1 år får inte delta av säkerhetsskäl. (2) Spädbarn i åldern 1 - 4 år som reser med barnstol (med lastkapacitet på upp till 22 kg) följer med gratis på turen. (3) För barn i åldern 5 - 8 år finns en barnförlängning (barnströmlinjeform). (4) Barn från 9 års ålder kan självständigt cykla på en lämplig storlek på cyklar eller elcyklar.
- Minst 4 deltagare gäller (totalt antal deltagare på turné). Det finns en möjlighet till avbokning efter bekräftelse om det är 3 eller färre passagerare på turen. I händelse av att detta inträffar kommer du att erbjudas ett alternativ för din turné eller full återbetalning.
- På onsdagar inkluderar rutten en avvikelse, så turen kan vara en halvtimme längre (4,5 timmar i stället för 4 timmar och 6,5 timmar i stället för 6 timmar). Turen kan vara en halvtimme längre även under perioden mellan mitten av januari och mitten av februari.
- På påskdagen (28 mars 2027) är katakomberna stängda (därför kommer 6-timmarsturen inte att vara igång)
- Denna turné inkluderar inte mat eller dryck; rutten erbjuder dock några möjligheter att köpa mat eller dryck (som kan konsumeras under en lämplig paus).
- Är turerna säkra? Svaret är: Absolut! Turerna följer noggrant planerade rutter som har begränsad tillgång till trafik, och vissa har ingen trafik alls, vilket innebär att du kan njuta av din tur runt staden i total avkoppling och säkerhet och du behöver inte oroa dig för trafiken

This tour was literally our favorite part of our stop in Rome - we are still talking about it over a week later! It was so nice to get out of the chaotic city and into the countryside for a day and see a different side of Roman history. Our tour guide Merhab (I'm sorry, I probably spelled that wrong) was great, and we only had 6 people total on our tour so we really got to know each other throughout the day! There are lots of stops, so you are never riding for more than 10-15 minutes at a time, and each stop is beautiful. We especially loved riding around the old aqueducts as the sun was beginning to set. The cool catacombs were a nice break, and it was nice to have the breeze on our faces to take the edge off the heat. We will remember this tour for years to come.
This is such a great way to get out of the busy city. I was worried that it would be a little too hot considering the summer weather. But I think it was better than being on the city streets. Our guide, Tommaso, was fabulous. He was full of information and very friendly. And despite riding on some city streets, he made sure we were quite safe.

We did a eBike tour along the Appian Way with TopBike Rental in mid July. Our guide Icaro was fantastic. He was a very safe guide who was enthusiastic with sharing information. The bikes were very comfortable and we had no concerns with safety throughout. Whilst it was hot, we had frequent stops for gelato, nasoni visits. The Appian was very interesting including the amazing catacombs and aquaduct park. It was one of the highlights of our holiday for our 15 year old son. Thanks Icaro!

I'm a fairly confident mountain biker but had never ridden an e-bike before. These things are great for touring - they take all the work out of pedaling and allow you to enjoy the scenery while also catching speed when possible. We did this tour when it was 100' F so the pedal assist was critical. The tour itself was very fun and interesting. Anna was our guide and really made the day fun and interesting. In addition to the history she also gave very helpful information about upcoming hills, turns, and safety as we went. She was also very patient with our thrill-seeking boys. I would recommend the tour to anyone who is reasonably comfortable on a bike, and ask for Anna.

What a great way to see many of the attractions of Rome. The history of the area is immense. Despite the high heat for the time of year, the power-assisted bikes helped keep you moving so it didn't feel as hot. Our guide was excellent, friendly, and very knowledgeable of all the sites we saw. It also helped that we were a relatively small group size. The only way I could see for improving the tour was if they were to add a radio communication to all of the riders so the guide could pass on his wealth of knowledge for all the areas we didn't get a chance to stop at. I highly recommend this tour.
Wonderful views so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and on a beautiful bike ride
This was really the most fun experience in Rome. You will discover the city in a different way and cycle in the countryside for a large part, so you will not be bothered by the traffic. The groups are small and the guide will guide you safely through the city and enthusiastically tell you about the sights. We did the trip with our children, they could keep up and loved it.

This was our favorite excursion while in Rome. We had a small group with only another couple which made navigating easy and simple. Our guide was excellent and not only made the trip fun but had lots of historical and interesting facts. We chose the 6 hour trip that included a hour long guided tour of the catacombs. This was also cool experience and nice way to get out of the heat.

More technical and nerve wracking than advertised. However, so glad we did it. Beware it is hot in summer, and 40% of it you are dodging cars. Loved our guide, he took good care of us. Last name started with an I.
