The host is a chocolate maker and knew a lot about the rum and this was a wonderful experience. She led us through step by step and even those in our group who weren't rum fans enjoyed the pairings. My favorite was the 15 year old, but we all had different preferences. Sunset views, great chocolate, good rum. A fantastic end to our vacation.
What a wonderful way to spend your last evening in Puerto Viejo. I'm so glad you found us before heading home. I smiled when I read that everyone had a different favourite rum. That happens almost every tasting, and it's one of the things I enjoy most. There really isn't a "right" answer—it's fascinating to see how the same chocolate brings out something different for each person. It was a pleasure sharing the evening with you, and I'm happy to hear that even the non-rum drinkers found something to enjoy. Add in a good sunset, and it's hard to ask for much more. Safe travels home, and I hope the memories of the chocolate, the rum, and that final Puerto Viejo sunset stay with you for a long time.

Amazing experience here! All the rum and chocolate was phenomenal! Staff was so knowledgeable and patiently explained the tasting process. I happened to come on an evening with live music and it was perfect especially with the view of the ocean in front. Can't wait to come back!

There were four types of rum to taste paired with four types of chocolate, all homemade from the cocoa beans of the farm or surrounding farms. Earlier, there was a statement on the emergence of cocoa culture on the Caribbean coast. Coupled with sea view directly to sunset- I would just as recommend

The experience is set in a historic area with an AMAZING view of the water. The chocolatier’s knowledgeable and answered a wide variety of questions. The chocolate and the rum were delicious. We found a combo that ended up tasting like a peanut MnM! 100% worth it.
