Från Piazzale Flaminio kör vi genom Villa Borghese och gör ett stopp på Pincio Terrace för att njuta av hisnande panoramautsikt över Roms ikoniska skyline. Vi passerar Porta Pinciana, en del av de gamla Aurelianusmurarna, och längs Via Veneto innan vi når Piazza Barberini och barockskönheten på Piazza delle Quattro Fontane. På Colosseum kommer du att förundras över den här antika amfiteaterns storhet. Därefter utforskar vi Circus Maximus, den vidsträckta platsen för romerska vagnstävlingar, innan vi beger oss till Parco Savello och dess frodiga apelsinträdgård med vidsträckt utsikt över staden. Fortsätter vi besöker vi den legendariska Bocca della Verità, som ligger i det antika Forum Boarium, innan vi beger oss till Capitoline Hill, där Roms historia formades. Vi kommer att beundra Piazza Venezia, innan vi flyttar till Largo Argentina, platsen för Julius Caesars mord. Vår resa fortsätter genom Pantheon, Piazza Navona, och slutar vid den majestätiska Spanska trappan, med en perfekt utsikt över Roms elegans.

Vi kommer att köra förbi den vackra barock Piazza delle Quattro Fontane, kyrkan San Carlino och det enorma Quirinale Palace en gång residens för påven , sedan kungen och idag högkvarter för Italiens president
Vi tar ett kort stopp i Monti-distriktet, en gång känt som Suburra, det gamla Roms grusiga hjärta. Idag är det en av stadens mest spännande stadsdelar, där hundraåriga gränder viskar historier om kejsare och utstötta. Härifrån öppnar sig en fantastisk utsikt över det kejserliga forumet, som avslöjar hur de antika och medeltida lagren i staden väver sömlöst samman.
Från denna plats har du utsikt över Circus Maximus, en gång den största stadion i den antika världen, som kan rymma upp till 300 000 rytande åskådare. Det var här som vagnstävlingar som de i Ben-Hur fängslade den romerska publiken, med team som dundrade förbi i otrolig hastighet. Strax bortom, som reser sig över banan, ligger Palatinkullen – kejsarnas hem, som betraktade skådespelet från sina lyxiga palats. Idag har bruset bleknat, men skalan, inramningen och berättelserna är fortfarande lika kraftfulla.
Från Sanningens mun beger vi oss till Forum Boarium, ett av Roms äldsta marknadsområden. Här finns Herkules Victors tempel, ett sällsynt cirkulärt tempel i marmor, och det eleganta Portunustemplet med utsikt över Tibern. I närheten står den imponerande Janusbågen, mystisk och massiv. Vi fortsätter till Marcellus teater, ofta förväxlad med ett mini Colosseum. Vad gör det ännu mer extraordinärt? Ett renässanspalats byggt på toppen av familjen Savelli – och ja, där bor människor än idag. Lager av Rom, bokstavligen.

A Private tour with an excellent & knowledgeable Tour Guide. Our tour guide is friendly, patience & accommodating to all of us especially to guests with limited mobility. An excellent way to see Rome. We really enjoy iit!
This was a great experience! A great way to see some city highlights and take photos at these sites without having to walk 20k steps in the heat. The golden hour timing is perfect since the tour ends when it’s time to go to dinner; we ended at the Spanish steps which has so many delicious restaurants nearby!!
Been to Rome many times but after reading about this tour and knowing the temperatures were going to be high for walking about, we decided to book. What a great evening, our guide was excellent with his knowledge and stories and didn't mind our questions. We stopped by the many main attractions and other areas we've never been to too. After 3 great hours, we were dropped off at the top of the Spanish Steps, just about sunset. What a wonderful tour.
We've been to Rome many times, due to the very warm weather we decided to book this tour to save us walking around the city while doing some sightseeing. So pleased we did, our tour guide was great. Very informative, answered many questions we all had while being patient, friendly and helpful. Visited a few places we'd never been too, told lots of facts and stories new to us and had a very enjoyable 3 hours. Finished at the top of the Spanish Steps just before sunset. Such a great night.

We traveled with my elderly father and this was a perfect was to see the sights. Our guide grew up in the area and knew so much of Roman history. He brought the sites to life with the stories and details, moved from one century to the next, one Emporer to the next with ease and enthusiasm. I recommend doing this tour early in your stay in Rome so you will have more understanding of what you are seeing in the coming days.

We had a wonderful tour with Ivano! We booked for a group of 7, but luckily we had the tour to ourselves. We saw so many parts of the city - a great way to get an overview and understanding of this incredible city! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and we felt safe and entertained the entire time. We went at 6:30pm - glad we had a jacket (May) as it did get cool toward the end of the tour.
