Rom Highlights Private Shore Excursion från Civitavecchia Port

Wonderful Guide and Driver, loved the Vatican and Pantheon. Loved the access our Guide provided, bypassing long lines was a blessing and made it easier by far.

Best day tour in Rome imagined! We had SO much fun with Nick on our tour. It was such a hot day the day we toured Rome (and I had injured my knee jet skiing a few days earlier, so I was walking with a cane), but Nick managed to find the closest places to drop us off, shade to cool off, and kept cold water for us to drink nearby. I feel like we saw everything we could fit in...the Coliseum, Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Palatine Hill, and more. He also arranged for us to have this incredible family style meal at a fun restaurant...we had multiple courses, multiple bottles of wine for all 8 of us, and the price was incredibly reasonable, including a tip (which, we know is unusual in Europe, but we are from the U.S. and the service was just THAT incredible). The meal was truly incredible. We had dinner reservations later that night at another restaurant after Nick dropped us off at our hotel, and we were still so full from our amazing lunch, we could barely eat one more than appetizers at dinner. I highly, highly recommend this tour, and I truly hope you get Nick. He is the BEST...I am convinced we all consider Rome on of our favorite stops on this vacation because of Nick! lol.

Valter was absolutely wonderful and made our time in Rome one of the highlights of our trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and so easy to spend the day with. Having Valter drive us throughout Rome made a huge difference. He knew exactly where to take us and was able to get us close to the key sights, allowing us to see and experience so much more than we ever could have on our own. He shared so much interesting information along the way and made the entire experience fun for our whole family. We never felt rushed, and the day was easy and memorable from start to finish. We truly would not have seen nearly as much or enjoyed Rome as much without Valter. We would recommend him without hesitation to anyone visiting Rome!

Absolutely amazing and flawless experience. Communication back and forth through email was clear, detailed and informative. We went back and forth perfecting our day. This is a must-do if you're traveling to Rome in the summer. It was 107° in the city and we were able to cover a lot of ground hopping in and out of an air conditioned vehicle. Our guide was amazing and extremely familiar with Roman history, pointing things out to us that we would have missed on our own.

We had a great day on our tour of Rome, our driver was fantastic and very knowledgeable and helped us see all the sites that were on our must list. He also recommended a really good place for lunch and I loved my pasta and my daughter says her lasagna was in the top 5 things she ate in Europe =) I would say the only snafu was we forgot we had to pay in cash so at the end of the tour we had to return to a cash machine, a reminder email about this would be helpful but it did not decrease our satisfaction of this excursion and we would recommend the tour and the company to friends/family.

After contacting Italy Private Excursions and connecting with Sarah, the whole adventure was amazing. Sarah was extremely patient as she outlined all of our choices, with pricing included. There were many emails exchanged and Sarah was quick to respond and clarify our questions/concerns Alex picked us up right outside our ship and drove us into Rome. Along the way he pointed out all kinds of things and was very engaging and informative. Once in Rome he managed to get use really close to the Trevi fountain in spite of it being marathon day (annual Rome Marathon day which takes place right in the heart of the city around the spots we wanted to see) As we chose the transportation only option Alex determined the best pick up location and time and after we had completed our self guided wander he was right where he told us he would be at the exact time. I found that amazing as once again it was Marathon day and the streets were packed with people. Great golf cart tour of Rome at night. Informative. Fun.

We didn't see everything that was on the list of sites to see but we did opt for a lunch break so that could be why. We did feel like we saw what we wanted to see and enjoyed all of it. The driver and the tour guide were very friendly and fluent in English. They made sure that we saw what we wanted to see and we were back to the ship in plenty of time.

From the drivers pick-up to our return to the ship everything far exceeded our expectations. Although this private tour was expensive the driver and the guide got us into and took us places we would never have been able to see. We were able to see things that we would never have been able to on a group tour and there were very personal touches from the quick stop at a small cafe on our way to Rome to the lunch arranged by our guide.

Both our driver Peter and our guide Barbara were fantastic! They made sure we saw the important landmarks and shared the history of Rome with us. We had a delicious lunch and Barbara helped accommodate some mobility issues in our group.
