We had a small group tour of the Colosseum with a guide from Romania (can’t remember his name), He was fantastic! We were on our own for the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and definitely needed more time than the 3 hours we had. Plan on at least 4-5 hours to soak it all in if possible.

Our tour guide was Aphrodite . She was exceptional . She was clear, informative and very knowledgeable . She could not only speak about the history of the Colosseum but about the whole history of the ancient world . Terrible guide.. changed our time nite before then our guide rambled on about non facts and we never did the forum or Palatine and only took us to one spot then told us to visit later on our own..

The guide was knowledgeable from the point of view of an atheist. We Christians got angry when he said that Jesus Christ was a myth and did not existed. He did not acknowledged that Nero burned Rome and blamed Christian’s who were killed. He blamed constantly the Catholic Church for building their basilicas with materials from the coliseum.

The tour was super informative although our guide spoke very quickly and was sometimes difficult to understand. The Colosseum will always be a favorite for us, and each time we visit we learn a bit more about the amazing sites of Rome!

Had a difficult time locating starting point. Group was not marked Had to leave tour early due to time restraints, No fault on part of Viator. Portion we did participate was well received. Tour Guide was very informative and nice
