Galleria Borghese (engelska: Borghese Gallery) är ett konstgalleri i Rom, Italien, inrymt i den tidigare Villa Borghese Pinciana. I början var gallerianläggningen integrerad med sina trädgårdar, men nu är Villa Borghese-trädgårdarna en separat turistattraktion. Galleria Borghese rymmer en betydande del av Borghese-samlingen av målningar, skulpturer och antikviteter, som startades av kardinal Scipione Borghese, frun Paulus Vs regissör (reg. 1605-1621). Villaen byggdes av arkitekten Flaminio Ponzio, som utvecklade skisser av Scipione Borghese själv, som använde den som en villa suburbana, en villa på landet i Rom. Scipione Borghese var en tidig beskyddare av Bernini och en ivrig samlare av verk av Caravaggio, som är väl representerad i samlingen av sin pojke med en korg med frukt, St Jerome Writing, Sick Bacchus och andra. Andra noteringar inkluderar Titian's Sacred and Profane Love, Raphael's Entombment of Christ och verk av Peter Paul Rubens och Federico Barocci.

We booked the private tour through the Galleria Borghese with hotel pickup and were thrilled from start to finish. The pickup itself worked perfectly—punctual in front of the hotel, uncomplicated and stress-free, so we could start the day relaxed. Our guide Benjamin was simply great. He led us through the gallery and didn't just rattle off dry facts, but really brought the artworks and their history to life. You could immediately tell how knowledgeable he is and how much passion he brings for the art and history of Rome. Every explanation was understandable and perfectly tailored to us—whether it was about Bernini's sculptures or the paintings by Caravaggio, everything was conveyed vividly and with palpable enthusiasm. In addition to his expertise, Benjamin was also just a very likable person—friendly, attentive, and with a good sense of when we wanted more details and when a short, concise explanation was enough. That made the whole tour very pleasant and personal. The Galleria Borghese itself is, of course, a highlight in its own right, but with a private tour, you get a completely different perspective on the artworks. Without the crowds, at our own pace, and with someone who really brings the background to life—that was a great difference compared to a normal group tour. All in all, a completely successful experience: great impressions, an excellent guide, and a smooth pickup right at the hotel. An absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to visit the Galleria Borghese in Rome and is looking for a bit more depth and personal service!

We had a splendid tour of the Borghese Gallery with Stefania. She was a font of all knowledge on all the beautiful paintings and sculptures and the history of the Borghese family. I used this company for multiple tours, starting in Milan, and then Rome - Colosseum Arena & Underground, Early Bird Vatican, golf cart tour of Piazzas and Fountains, and Borghese Gallery. Marta was amazing. Her knowledge and passion shine throughout our visit. Her understanding of construction and composition brought new insights. Neither of us had a detailed knowledge of mythology and Marta’s background information added so much to our experience and appreciation. I particularly liked her showing us different views of the same sculpture. She was honest and caring. At the end of the Tour when she realised we didn’t have tickets for the Colosseum, she found a web site, booked us in and got us a taxi.
We met Azzurra, our fabulous guide, in front of the Borghese Gallery about 15 minutes early for the appointment. Azzurra took us on a short walk through the grounds and provided excellent backgound on the museum and the family that owned the palace. Then we embarked on an incredibly informative tour of the museum with outstanding commentary by Azzurra. Both my husband and I are ardent museum lovers and although we knew something about this period of art, Azzurra's deep knowledge and understanding of the works displayed in the Borghese was amazing. We learned so much and realized how much her commentary provided both the depth and understanding of what we observed in this fabulous museum. We heartily recommend the Eyes of Rome and, in particular, Azzurra, if you want an unforgettable tour of the Borghese!

Our recent tour of the Borghese Gallery and grounds was the perfect way to complete our Rome stay. Rosie was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the art and the artists. She made sure that we saw a variety of the most important art in the gallery. She also walked with us back to the hotel showing us interesting places along the way. We definitely recommend this tour!

I participated with American friends in the guided tour of the Borghese Gallery and we had Azzurra as our guide. She is a very knowledgeable girl, speaks excellent English and gave us a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! Bravo, keep it up.
