Only book it when you use the ticket for the full day. I thought its valid 24h. They do not offer half day tickets. I paid EUR 30 to use it from 3pm to 7pm. The same price than the full day ticket 7am to 7pm. Not worth it
It was difficult to locate the bus, even using the real time app - It was a very hot day and when the bis stopped, the AC went off - the automated information was very interesting, but kept cutting in and out - overall, the experience was meh

I wish I could give this zero stars. This bus line almost single handedly ruined our family trip to Rome. First off, the stop to the Colosseum is closed, which means we will need to shell out more money for a taxi or an Uber. Second, on the day we had tickets to the catacombs, the bus was 45 minutes behind schedule, causing us to miss our tour time. When we managed to book a different tour for later in the day, the bus driver completely skipped the stop we needed, for absolutely no reason and wouldn't even look at us when we tried to tell him of the mistake and to please let us off. Thankfully we managed to make it to our tour, but barely and we had to run in over 90° weather. We also sat at one stop for over 30 minutes, baking in the hot sun because they unrolled the awning for some reason. We had a good experience with this bus line in France but after this we will never be using it again. Save yourself the money and stress, and book with someone else.
Easy access. Satisfactory number of spaces. Good welcome. Interesting route and absolutely a must-do. Viator is an excellent booking site. We recommend it.

.Once you have paid your money you do not receive any service at all. Turns out if you have any complaint each bus is franchised out so there is no one to complain to when, as happened to me, I sat in a wet bus seat. Poorly marked drop off and pick up areas with no one to help adds to the poor experience, and in the heat this becomes unbearable. The pink bus tour group looked better.

Terrible, do not recommend! We did this so we could see the sights and get on and off at the key landmarks. The bus doesn’t even go past any of the monuments (Eg. Trive fountain, Pantheon, St Peter’s or Vatican, Piazza) except Coloseum (but it’s not even a stop). In fact there’s only 6 stops so you may as well skip this and just walk to the attractions. Commentary was off, bus stopped at train station in heat for driver swap and didn’t even leave air-conditioning running. Then we didn’t get gelato ticket. Such a waste of money! I want a refund.

We bought our tickets in the afternoon because the post said the “24 hour” ticket was good for one day upon activation. We made the logical assumption that it meant a 24 hour period but in actuality your ticket is only good during business hours THE day it is activated. We were only able to use them from 3pm-7pm. The trip info should clarify the 24 hour ticket is only good the day it is activated. It is not really a “24 hour” ticket.

Ideal way to get around the city and get off at any of the stops My only issue was upstairs there was only a little bit of shade at the back in the 35 degree heat - they could use a complete cover for this weather as people couldn’t stand it but there was no room downstairs to sit in the shade ! Other bus companies did have these and can still see everything and take photos

The concept is good. However it’s not so well executed. You’re hounded as soon as you get into Rome by the bus company for you to buy tickets from them. Once on the bus the headroom downstairs is diabolical. There are double decker buses in other countries with shorter bridges that still manage to have adequate headroom clearance. The headsets and audio is actually good as far is English is concerned. However the worst thing is the stops. I booked this tour hop on hop off bus because right now I have limited mobility and I’m walking with a stick. I thought it should have been a great option to get from location to location. Nope. We only managed to get off at 1 stop, which was for the Vatican. The Vatican is still a good 1 mile at least away from this bus stop. A half an hour walk. Not ideal. This isn’t listed anywhere. The other sites are the same. Huge distances from the stops, also the stops are about 20-30mins apart from each other. We wasted our very limited time on the bus or walking to the sites we wanted to see that were advertised close to the stops. Don’t book this. Take taxis. It might work out similar price or the metro. Etc.
