Skippa den låsta stadstrafiken och de trånga turnébussarna. Bara 40 minuter från Rios berömda stränder ligger en skyddad UNESCO-världsarvsvildmark där de täta djungeltaken blockerar stadens kaos. Detta är en tempofylld, liten gruppresa utformad för att visa dig Rios vilda sida utan folkmassorna. - Upplev råstyrka : Stå vid foten av Cascatinha Taunay - en brusande 115 - fots kaskad och det högsta vattenfallet i parken (ingen simning tillåten). - Utforska ett nationellt rekord : Venture inuti den historiska Bat Grotto, den största gnejs grottformation i Brasilien. - Vykort vyer med inga folkmassor - Få svepande, ram-perfekt utsikt över Kristus Frälsaren, Sockertoppen Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema och Rio skyline. - Ingen erfarenhet behövs: vandra på säkra, skuggade leder i bekvämt, avslappnat grupptempo, som passar de flesta fitnessnivåer. - Inkluderar transfer tur och retur i ett bekvämt AC-fordon. Vårt första resmål är Mirante das Canoas, en fantastisk utsiktspunkt som erbjuder vyer över bergen Pedra da Gavea och Pedra Bonita, såväl som stadsdelen Sao Conrado. Efter ett kort stopp fortsätter vi direkt till Tijuca Park, bara 15 minuter bort.

När du går djupare in i djungeln sluter sig trädkronorna ovanför dig och filtrerar solljuset till gyllene schakt över skogsbotten. Lyssna efter tukaner ovanför, håll utkik efter sengångare i träden och håll utkik efter kapucinapor som kastar sig genom grenarna. Terrängen är mild och slingrar sig genom uråldrig atlantisk regnskog där luften är tjock av fuktighet och fågelsång – och det avlägsna ljudet av forsande vatten blir högre för varje steg. Sedan visar sig vattenfallet: kristallklart bergsvattenfall, omgivet av frodig vegetation och absolut lugn. Stig in och låt regnskogen sköta resten. Beroende på säsong kan vi besöka Cachoeira Diamantina istället — lika fantastisk, lika oförglömlig.

Our tour guide Fabio was extremely knowledgeable about the ecosystem within the forest, took us on great hiking trails and showed us beautiful waterfalls/overlooks of the city. Would recommend this for anyone looking to explore Tijuca in Rio!

Our guide, Eric, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the forest and gave us a lot of really good information. He took pictures of my family at the waterfall so we could capture the moment. He knew exactly where to look and found a sloth within five minutes of exiting the van. We also saw monkeys on our drive up to the Chinese Vista so we pulled over so that way we could see them. I would highly recommend this tour!
