Wild Atlantic Tours är specialiserade på att tillhandahålla prisbelönta guidade turer i Kerry och sydvästra Irland. Vi är ett familjeägt företag baserat i Killarney, County Kerry. Ett stopp vid stranden av vackra Lough Leane i utkanten av Killarney.
Cahergall Stone Fort byggdes runt 600AD. Med murar ca 6 m höga och ca 3 m tjocka är detta torra stenmurfort ett av de bästa exemplen på ett tidigmedeltida stenfort som finns på Ring of Kerry.
Valentia Island ligger strax utanför den sydvästra kusten av County Kerry och är en av Irlands västligaste punkter. Den kombinerar fascinerande historia, vacker natur och en intressant kulturell scen, vilket gör det till en fantastisk plats att besöka på Ring of Kerry.
Slate Quarry öppnade först 1816 under ledning av Knight of Kerry och har varit ett fungerande stenbrott till och från sedan det datumet. Detta nyligen återöppnade stenbrott är känt för kvaliteten på skifferbrottet och är känt för att tillhandahålla skiffer till Paris Opera House, Londons Houses of Parliament och många biljardbord, inklusive ett som gjorts för hertigen av Wellington och drottning Victoria.
Platsen för Cromwell Point Lighthouse var ursprungligen hem till ett Cromwellian Fort från 1600-talet, som var ett av två byggda på Valentia Island vid denna tid. Konturen av Cromwell Point-fortet med dess bastioner och barack innanför dess vägg kan fortfarande lätt spåras från luften, som ligger precis innanför fyrens inhägnadsvägg. Fortet behölls efter restaureringen och det finns olika statliga papper om dess reparation under perioden 1663-1665. Det avvecklades 1669. Det första ljuset för Cromwell Point ansöktes ursprungligen om den 30 mars 1828 av den högra hedersmannen Maurice Fitzgerald, riddare av Kerry. Arbetet med fyren påbörjades tio år senare 1838, ljuset ställdes ut första gången 1 februari 1841. Sedan november 1947 har ljuset varit automatiserat.
Portmagee är en härlig fiskeby i sydvästra grevskapet Kerry på Valentia Harbour, varifrån du kan korsa bron över till Valentia Island.
Kerry Cliffs är allmänt accepterade som de mest spektakulära klipporna i Kerry. Klipporna står över 1000 fot över den vilda Atlanten och bildades i en ökenmiljö för 400 miljoner år sedan. I väster står de fantastiska Skellig-klipporna, en av endast tre UNESCO-världsarv i Irland. Naturligtvis är Kerry Cliffs den närmaste utsiktsplatsen till de stora klipporna och även den berömda Puffin Island. Allierad med dessa fakta när du står på toppen av denna mystiska plats och andas in den friskaste luften, djupt in i lungorna från den vilda Atlanten och observerar detta naturliga under. Du kan koppla av och varva ner och observera den majestätiska utsikten härifrån som sträcker sig 30 miles av de omgivande områdena.
Ballinskelligs beach är 1,0 km från den obefläckade sandstranden som ligger i Ballinskelligs Bay vid Mc Carthys Castle. Separerad från Ballinskelligs pir vid Ballinskelligs Abbey, stranden är en av de bäst bevarade hemligheterna i South Kerry och har varit en favorit bland lokala familjer i många år. Det är en internationellt erkänd strand med blå flagg.
Waterville (An Coireán) är en liten kustby som ligger mellan Atlanten och Lough Currane på den natursköna och berömda Ring of Kerry längs Wild Atlantic Way.
Sneem är en färgstark by i sydvästra Kerry, välsignad med utsökt landskap, vilda landskap och imponerande Kerry-berg. Namnet Sneem betyder "knuten" som binder samman Ring of Kerry. Här leder Killarney Mountain Road och Ring of Kerrys Kenmare och Waterville Roads alla till Sneem.
Ladies View ligger cirka 19 km från Killarney. Utsikten här är förmodligen den mest kända av Killarney och är en stor attraktion för besökare. Drottning Victorias hovdamer besökte här under det kungliga besöket 1861. De var så tagna av utsikten att den fick sitt namn efter dem.
Torc Waterfall ligger cirka 7 kilometer från Killarney Town. En kort promenad på ca 200 meter tar dig till vattenfallet.

Great tour! Paudie was such a good tour guide. He is originally from the area so knows everyone and takes you too great locations. The cliffs of Kerry are beautiful and he makes the experience feel like a VIP tour. Made the long day feel fun and the van was very comfortable
A big gratitude to Paudie our driver was super friendly and knowledgable. He took our family on the ROC tour with several extra stops along the way. His van was very comfortable and fit all 6 of us. Great way to see the Kerry Cliffs and Valentia Island that you can’t get from a regular tour bus. Our guide Paudie was great and goes places others don’t. A fantastic way to experience the real Ireland.
Upon recommendation from my cousin, my husband and I booked a private tour of the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring with Paudie. We are so glad that we took her advice, as we had the best day! We saw so much of the area that we never would have been able to find or see if we had driven ourselves. Paudie was a wealth of historical and local knowledge, and he knew right where to go for the best access to all of the major sites and hidden local gems too. We lucked out and had beautiful weather during our tour and time in Ireland, which made this tour all the more spectacular!

We had an amazing day! Paudie Murphy was friendly and funny. We saw all the sites on the tour and even a couple spontaneous things too! Paudie is born and raised in the area. He knows all the history; his family is still local; and he recommended great restaurants for dinner.
We had an incredible tour with Paudie. He provided a VIP experience, getting into some of the prettiest sights in Ireland. Paudie was very personable and shared so many fun facts. Not only does he know about the area, he clearly absolutely loves creating excellent memories.

We had the most amazing private tour with Paudie Murphy, it’s truly the best way to see the Ring of Kerry! He took us to places we would never have been able to see, the most beautiful sights you can imagine. So many wonderful surprises throughout the day including the most incredible lunch. Paudie knows all the best places to see, stopping frequently for photos, he is wealth of knowledge, so friendly and humorous, it was an absolute delight to spend the day with him! Our private tour of the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring with Paudie was an unforgettable journey through some of Ireland’s most stunning landscapes. Paudie’s extensive knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the region’s history to life. We especially appreciated his personal touch, as he shared heartfelt stories from his childhood growing up in a town along the Ring of Kerry. One of the highlights was our visit to Valentia Island, where the serene beauty and historical significance left a lasting impression. Paudie was an amazing tour guide. We did Ring of Kerri and Skellig tour and we went for close to 12 hours - ate at a local pub , saw many sites that were special to his tour. We didn’t once run in to any tour buses where we went ! Views were spectacular Ps - only discovered that my original review didn’t go through while we were recommending him to others so posting it now !!!
