Puerto Montt: Chiloe Island på heldag som besöker Penguins i Puñihuil

På denna 10-timmars turné besöker vi en vacker koloni pingviner, plus den magiska ön Chiloe. Denna turné avgår dagligen, tidigt på morgonen från Puerto Montt.

Vi börjar turen på väg till Pargua, söder om Puerto Varas stad; här kommer vi ombord på en färja för att segla genom Chacao Channel, den här kanalen skiljer kontinenten Chiloe Island. Under navigeringen ser vi havsvolvar, pelikaner och havsfåglar endemiska i detta område. Färjan ligger vid Chacao brygga, här ser vi husen som är byggda med Alerce wood, och kyrkorna som är National Heritage Site.
fortsätt sedan längs en kustväg och vi kommer att besöka Caulín-stranden, en plats som är mycket känd för ostronen och en rik marinfena.
ater vi kommer att gå till Puñihuil stranden; där får vi en båt som tar oss till en liten ö där vi hittar magallanespingvinen och Humboldtpingvinet, det här är den plats där dessa två arter gör sina bonar, en under generationer de har sameksisterat tillsammans, vilket gör de här öarna den enda platsen i världen där det händer. Turistguiden kommer att förklara för oss dessa livs livsstil, omgivningen och överflöd av mat som gör att dessa öar blir ett vildparadis. Det är viktigt att säga att Puñihuil förklarades National Heritage för dess ekologiska relevans.
San Antonio Fort; denna historiska plats ligger i den högsta delen av staden, byggt senast i XVIII Century och är en del av ett av de sista spanska fortikationerna i vårt land,
Afer vi fortsätter vår resa till Ancud stad, där vi kan se kyrkan Heritage Foundation, The Square och Central Market, erbjuder denna många gastronomiska och hantverk alternativ på ön.

Excellent tour to the island of Chiloe. Great - if distant- views of the Andes. Interesting towns. Penguins and other birdlife. Delicious lunch. Outstanding guide.
Right on time for pickup, Jenny made small modifications to the order of the tour to get us the best opportunities for the best experience. Jenny speaks fluent English and kept her English speaking passengers well informed with information and local atories. Alex kept us safe on the road.
We had a very good experience on the tour, everything very beautiful, the guide very clear when explaining and the journey times were punctual
Stop in small town was cute. Advise to wear warm and waterproof clothing for the penguin portion - you transfer to a small boat. You do have the option to leave things on the bus which is nice. The food you have to pay for due to no other options was not good - bring snacks. The last stop was unnecessary in a town that was mostly shut down. The bus itself was very very very nice and comfortable.
Chiloe Island visiting Penguins in Puñihuil was a fantastic day out led by Jenny. Jenny kept us fully informed of all the activates and had very good customer service. Her organisation skills were second to none and i / we can fully recommend this amazing day out.
We could see the penguins very close. During the ferry I could see 3 seals. Lunch was good and at a very fair price with dessert and coffee. Overall a long trip and Jenny talks continuously throughout the journey
Was a great day.. The tour guide (Jenny) was FANTASTIC.. very personable, easy to understand, very informative and flexible with folks who ran a little late..
This was a great excursion, and it was a very comfortable and not too exhausting. There is a lot to see in Chiloe, and the tour guide did a great job of making sure everything was clear. The penguins were great and adorable, and every stop was worthwhile.
Probably an 8.5/10. Good communication to arrange pick up and then the evening before. Fun boat ride and interesting to see the penguins on their islands. First stop in a quaint village square and good views from the last stop at the fort. Good to see some of the island, but inevitably quite a lot of driving and didn’t see the need for a second craft shopping experience. Need to factor in the boat trip and lunch costs, although these were mentioned beforehand. Think the info. beforehand also mentioned a max. of 14 in the group, but this doubled.
Even though the distance that I needed to travel was quite long, the others were increíble. The guys(Javier, Eric) were super friendly, penguins were extremely cute and the overall of Chiloe was more than I expected. Highly recommend
