His English is excellent, and he also speaks German. He can even break down the fascinating history of words that ended up in this region, including their Greek, French, Arabic, and Turkish roots. You get a genuinely authentic picture of the city. You can ask him literally anything—whether it's about history, languages, local demographics, or historical migrations—and you’ll get a deep, accurate explanation. What makes the experience even better is his fantastic interaction with the group, along with his healthy, open-minded worldview. On top of that, he gives excellent local tips and points you toward the best spots in town. I highly recommend booking his tour as soon as you arrive in the city!

We had such a great walking tour with Aleksandar! He was super energetic, honest and really easy to listen to. His knowledge goes way beyond just Skopje and Macedonia. He shared so many interesting facts and stories that we honestly kept learning new things the whole time. We asked A LOT of questions and he answered every single one properly and with so much knowledge. You can really tell he genuinely loves what he does. Definitely recommend him if you’re visiting Skopje!

As a couple with my wife, I met the guide Alessandro on August 14, 2026, for the 2-hour tour in Skopje. I immediately appreciated his WhatsApp message, with which he showed his face and confirmed the date, time, and place of the meeting. During the route, we visited some of the most interesting places in beautiful Skopje and appreciated the great culture of Alessandro, who is also gifted with great empathy. Furthermore, personally, I was able to exchange opinions and more also in the Greek language, which Alessandro knows very well. Therefore, I highly recommend this tour with Alessandro, who enriches it with history, geography, and culture not only of Macedonia but also of Italy.

Fantastic tour with Alex the multi lingual, highly knowledgeable and excellent guide. Alex took us on a gentle wander through the various parts of Central Skopje (accompanied by a possee of local stray dogs!) being both entertained and educated by Alex. Highly highly recommend.

The tour leads to interesting places in Skopje. Our guide was quite critical of the situation in North Macedonia - a great insight into real life here. The historical insights in particular were very interesting for understanding the Balkans a bit better. Highly recommended!
