Yehliu är en udde på Taiwans norra kust, mest känd för Yehliu Geopark, där havserosion har format honungskakor och svampklippor som det ikoniska drottninghuvudet och drakhuvudet. Området är mestadels platt men erbjuder lite skugga, så solskydd rekommenderas under sommaren.
Shifen Waterfall är Taiwans mest kända kaskad, som matas av Keelung River, och mäter cirka 20 meter (66 fot) hög och 40 meter (131 fot) bred. Att nå utsiktsplattformen tar cirka 30 minuters promenad, delvis i skugga och korsar en hängbro.
Denna gamla gata ligger precis intill Shifen Station i Pingxi-området, där en aktiv järnvägslinje går rakt igenom marknaden. Besökare startar himmelslyktor på spåren, pausar när ett tåg mullrar förbi.
Känn dig förflyttad till denna före detta guldgruvstad – en gång byggd av japanerna och nu en labyrint av historiska rika gränder och gränder. De flesta av de charmiga gatorna är trappor kantade av snacksstånd och tehus, och de kan bli ganska trångt. (Tips: Om du vill uppleva Jiufen i solnedgången eller skymningen, boka en avgång efter 11:00, vilket gör Jiufen till det sista stoppet, vilket ger dig tid att njuta av utsikten över solnedgången och kvällsljuset.)

Hicks Wang was such a great guide and really made our day special. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to, and his English was excellent. He also came prepared with umbrellas and water, which was really thoughtful and made things much more comfortable for us. He even went the extra mile and treated my kids to boba tea and some local sweets, which they absolutely loved!! We had such a fun and memorable day with Hicks and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great guide. Thank you, Hicks, for making our day so enjoyable and memorable!
I traveled to Taiwan for one day and decided to book this a tour, and I loved it. Sean was very accommodating, patient and shared so much information about Taiwan which I loved.
Jack, our driver and guide, was amazing. He was polite, informative, ready to answer any question and attend any need. Despite the extremely hot temperatures, this was an amazing day trip.
This was a really move was to get out of the city. Ben was wonderful accommodating all our requests , from slow pace to frequent restroom stops to vegetarian food. We were a mixed age family group from elderly parents to young adults and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Our guide could not have been more friendly. He was always prepared with ways to make our day more enjoyable (water, umbrellas, photo opportunities). The sites we visited were outstanding and the guided tour was a great way to enjoy them.
I booked a private tour with my family thru Viator on the afternoon before the tour date by early evening, I was contacted via WhatsApp by Paul Y. our tour guide. He confirmed time and location for pick up and everything went smooth the following morning . Paul was great at explaining what we would be doing and how long it would take to get from Place to Place. His car was very comfortable and he was very pleasant to be around with even my younger son would run up alongside him during our tour given the fact that me and my wife and older son were a bit slower. We had a great time touring all of the various landmarks and Paul explained the history behind each location. He’s very pleasant to talk to and informative about the location and other things regarding life in Taiwan . Paul also gave us tips on foods to try out at each location, which is great as it saved us a headache of figure out where to get snacks. As our tour drew to the end , I wish I had known him before when I first arrived in Taipei as I would have consider other tours. Overall would definitely contact Paul if I were to visit again and would highly recommend him to friends who would ever visit TAiwan. Thank you, Paul for a great time!
If you are in Taipei this is a trip you must take - our guide Jacky was great - private is the way to go. Jacky made sure we had a great time.
