Efter att ha blivit upphämtad från din plats i bekväm och privat transport, åker vi till den förtrollande östra sidan av Medellín. Vår rutt tar oss genom den längsta tunneln i Sydamerika, och erbjuder en unik upplevelse när vi tar oss till en av de mest pittoreska regionerna i Antioquia. Vi fortsätter vår resa till nästa stopp, ett verkligt unikt underverk, den magnifika EL PEÑOL ROCK, en gigantisk sten som dyker upp ur bergen och når en imponerande höjd över 700 fot, källa till många mystiska berättelser. För de äventyrliga själarna bland oss, som utmanas att erövra de 740 trappor som leder till toppen av klippan, är belöningen inget mindre än spektakulär: en inspirerande vy av världen nedanför som tar andan ur dig. Du kan fortfarande njuta av El Peñol-klippan från basen, där magnifik utsikt över reservoaren och bergen utspelar sig framför dina ögon. Efter vår trevliga promenad hittar vi en mysig plats på ZOCALO PLAZA för att koppla av och varva ner, ta en stund för att smutta på ett gott colombianskt kaffe eller en uppfriskande dryck medan vi insuper atmosfären, vi kommer att känna en sann koppling till det lokala sättet att leva, precis som de vänliga lokalbefolkningen gör.

Our private tour with Alex was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. He took us to wonderful places, shared interesting information about the area, and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop. The tour was well organized and personalized to our interests. What a great and thorough experience we had with our tour guide, Juan Carlos! The drive there included a lot of history and facts about Columbia, that we did not know. We stopped for some yummy typical Colombian treats on the way and got early to El Peñon, which allowed us ample time to explore without the crowds. Guatapé was a charming town with beautiful art work all over the buildings and great food. Once again, we beat the crowds and enjoyed ourselves very much. We ended the trip stopping for lunch at some sort of petting zoo. That was unique and fun for the kids! We highly recommend this tour, especially if you have children!
Mauricio was a fantastic guide. He explained so much as we drove to our destinations and while we were there. I learned a lot about the history of Guatapé and different aspects of Colombian culture. I would definitely recommend.

We went to the top of El Peñol and visited Guatapé together. We really really enjoyed it and would recommend the tour a lot as we were there before all the busses arrived. As it was a private tour we could choose the time we spent at the places and where back im Medellin at 1 pm.

The tour was awesome, we started at 6:00 am. Our guide Carlos did above and beyond to make our day perfect. Starting early you avoid all the crowds and traffic, I will definitely recommend doing that. Besides, doing a private tour you can take your time walking around or leaving early if you want to. The place is gorgeous.
Laura ended up being our own private tour guide as it was just me and my partner, and we booked this experience the day before. Picked up in front of our hotel in El Poblado and quickly driven straight to El Peñol. Went up and down before the crowds; same with Guatape where we came early and mostly had the streets to ourselves with only a few other people. Highly recommended tour if you go early (6:30 pickup).
We had the most wonderful time with Carlos. He gave us a one of a kind view into the history of Medellin, Guatapé, Peñol, and everything in between. Even though the tour was scheduled for 8-10 hours, he never made us feel rushed and let us really absorb the experience. His English was fantastic and he was so knowledgeable about history and politics of the region.
This was our favorite tour on our trip in Colombia! We had done alot of group tours and for an excursion like this we wanted it to be a little bit more personal and custom to our wants and needs. We had our tour guide Daniel and he picked us up from our hotel and we headed out to Guatape. We got to stop for coffee on this farm and feed the llamas before heading to Peñol de Guatape which me and my boyfriend got to do at our own pace for as much time as we needed, never feeling rushed. Then we headed to Guatape where we got to do some walking on our own and some with Daniel who gave us a ton of history lessons on Guatape. We got to try coffee, desserts, and other snacks locally which was amazing part of the tour. On the way back we headed to replica of Peñol which was crazy to learn about the history before they flooded the area. Overall. This was such an amazing and personal tour. Daniel was the best and so knowledgeable about everything we learned, from Guatape to Medellin to Colombia in general. If your gonna do a private tour and spend a little bit more this is 100% the tour to do so, couldn’t recommend more!!!
