R ing av Beara turnera genom Healy Pass, Derreen Gardens, besök Cable Car station till Dursey Island. Garnish Island (beroende på tillgång till båt). Kör genom alla de mest färgglada byarna Beara Peninsula längs kusten med spektakulär utsikt över Atlanten. Besök på Uragh Stone Circle vackert beläget mellan två sjöar med utsikt över mystiska vattenfall.
Ring of Beara är en loopkörning runt Bearahalvön genom de flesta färgglada byar. Ardgroom, Eyeries och Allihies, byar som från en saga. Castletownbere stad är en bra plats för lunch. Fiskestad som erbjuder färskaste skaldjur, nästan direkt från båten. Healy Pass mitt på Beara halvön är inte vid Ringen egentligen men får inte hoppa över. Privata turister kan nå denna spektakulära utsiktspunkt. På toppen kan vi förvänta oss fler och fler vackra ställen, främst tillgängliga för personbilar och skåpbilar.
Molly Gallivans stuga är den mest traditionella och autentiska gamla irländska platsen. Som museum för irländsk folklore. Att besöka platsen är som att flytta tillbaka i tiden, för hundra år sedan eller mer. Till och med te serveras från en riktig öppen spis.
Vacker plats som ger en riktigt spektakulär utsikt över Kenmare bay och Bantry bay på andra sidan halvön. Charmig Glanmore-sjö nedanför med några steniga öar och riktigt idylliska jordbruksmarker.
Derreen Garden. Mystiskt land med små Derrinies och massor av exotiska växter, speciellt känd för att en mängd och stor storlek av rhododendron. Vacker promenad vid de små mysiga dammarna i typ av regnskog.
Uragh Stone Circle har ett exceptionellt läge mellan två sjöar på läka med spektakulär utsikt över Gleninchaquin Waterfall. Detta imponerande monument med högsta sten på 10 fot över marken och förmodligen 10 fot under jord och central sten som var ett altare för att scarfing offer, kanske också människor.
Kopparbrytningen i Allihies går tillbaka till 1812. År 1845 nådde gruvorna sin topp och sysselsatte omkring 1600 personer. Gruvor drabbades av lokalområdet efter potatissvälten. Gruvor fungerade fram till 1962.

What a wonderful 2 days with our private tour guide Richard! We booked through Peter Stanley Tours and could not be happier with our experience. Richard was so kind and knowledgeable and he did not want us to miss a thing! The first day we toured the Ring of Beara and the second day we toured The Ring of Kerry. The trip is unique and off the beaten path. The towns are working towns full of charm. The people are friendly and accommodating. The views of the peninsula are awe inspiring. Our driver, Peter was knowledgeable, fun and he let us make it “our journey”. He let us take our time and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.

The Ring of Beara can only be accessed by the boldest of drivers...or in our case, Piotr! The weather was just as wild and untamed as the landscape. Piotr allowed for a customized tour, so we focused on stone circles, a visit to Castletownbere, a cable car to Dursey Island and a meal stop at Allihies. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Piotr was an excellent guide and provided great insight into the history, flora, and fauna of Ireland. I would highly recommend this private tour with Piotr!

Uragh Stone Circle is one of the most mystical places I've come across. The photo does not do it justice Situated between two lakes, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of volcanic mountains facing the sea on the Northern shore of the fabulous Beara Peninsula, it must have inspired Neolithic people with awe and reverence. I'm surprised it was not replaced by an early Christian church.
