Efter frukost tar din privata guide dig på din hotelllobby och överför dig till färjeterminalen. Då kommer du att ha en 20-minuters lyxfärd till din första höjdpunkt i Xiamen, den lugna Gulangyu-ön. Glöm inte att ta några fantastiska bilder av Xiamen City och Lujiang Channel på färjan.
Gå ut ur färjan, välkommen till Gulangyu Island - "trädgården vid havet". Du börjar din resa genom att promenera i de eleganta gränderna och beundra de särpräglade arkitekturerna. Gulangyu är registrerat som världsarvslista UNESCO år 2017 och fylls med charmiga koloniala byggnader som kyrkor, konsulat osv. Det är utan tvekan ett museum för "Arkitektur av världen". Då kommer du att klättra upp på högsta toppen på Gulangyu Sunlight Rock, beundra fågelperspektivet på denna lugna ö.
Gå ner från Sunlight Rock, du kommer att besöka den unika kuststaden till Shuzhuang Garden med en världsklass pianomuseum i den, som är det enda pianomuseet i Kina. Efter besöket på Gulangyu tar du färjan tillbaka till Xiamen-ön och har en äkta skaldjurslunch i en populär lokal restaurang där lokalbefolkningen äter.
Efter lunch får du en 30-minuters god vila i ett välskött, luftkonditionerat icke-rökligt privat fordon medan det tar dig till din nästa höjdpunkt i Xiamen-South Putuo-templet. Templet byggdes först i Tang-dynastin med över 1000 års historia, du kan beundra den berömda buddhistiska kulturhistoriska samlingen här.
Därefter går du till din tredje höjdpunkt i Xiamen-Hulishan-fästningen. Byggdes år 1891 integrerade Hulishan Fortress stilerna Ming and Qing Dynasties. Du kan röra och till och med stå på de välbevarade gamla militära anläggningarna (till exempel grindarna, väggarna, emplacementsna, kasernerna, slottet, grendorna och befästningarna).
Kom ut ur Hulishan Fortress Park, du kommer att ha en fritid promenad på den berömda Island Ring Road på stranden, som är din sista höjdpunkt i Xiamen. Njut av den fantastiska havsutsikten och den ömda brisen, här är din underbara dag slut. It was an excellent experience for my family. Our guide Karen has done an excellent job, I highly recommend her as your private guide!
Called the day before to confirm pickup time and location. Though our hotel wasn't listed, there was no problem picking us up. Our driver and guide were excellent throughout the day. Though there were only 2 of us, we were taking around in a newer GL8. Our guide knew her history well and shared some interesting facts about the local area. At each location, our tickets were ready, we never had to wait longer than needed and given options on what to eat, how we wanted to experience each site and some interesting side notes. Even though we got to the last stop a bit behind schedule because we were enjoying ourselves so much, our guide was still able to get us admitted into the last stop. We were mostly able to avoid the crowds and get some nice photos on our own. I would suggesting doing this with a small group, without children, as it was a lot of walking and it was more taylored for adults. Altogther, our trip was a bit over 8 hours and we really enjoyed ourselves. If you only have one full day in Xiamen and you want to get the most of your time while there, this is the one you want.
Our guide Lily with a sign with my name met us as we disembarked the cruise ship in Xiamen. The tour included 3-4 major attractions, lunch at local restaurant and air conditioned car with bottled water. Lily was very informative and conscious of the time in order to get us back to ship on time. She was a problem solver—adjusting ferry scheduled rides when we arrived in Xiamen earlier than expected. She found out that my family liked mango, so she bought us a container of juicy ripe mango to eat—totally unexpected but must appreciative. I highly recommend this private tour of Xiamen.
The service of Ms. Shaw and Mr. Wong's driver is very professional, so we feel very comfortable and very satisfied, we will visit Xiamen again next time and hope to get two more services
Gu Liang Yu was the highlight, and I’m so glad we visited it by tour instead of trying on our own. The included lunch was also wonderful and in a very nice restaurant.
The tour is very good, and tour leader, 亮亮，had shared interesting historical information about the places. A good walking shoes are a must to enjoy this walking day trip 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Our guide Ivan was great. He was very informative. His knowledge of history and Buddhism was excellent. His English was also good. He was also very helpful going above and beyond helping arrange train transfers from Xiamen.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Xiamen by cruise ship and had arragend a group tour of 10 people with Sophie at Tuloutravel. We had a wonderful day seeing Gulangyu Island and other attractions, and can thoroughly recommend this travel company, and a visit it Xiamen. Excellent tour of the Island with an experienced guide. Ferry crossing was very busy but our guide Miss Lyn did well to get us on an early ferry to avoid the worst. Xiamen is an interesting city and well worth a visit.

While this booking was a bit expensive, it was 100% worth it. Sinfonia did a wonderful job showing me around the city and explaining the significance of each place we visited. She also provided great insights to Chinese as well as the local culture in Xiamen. I did this tour on a long layover and I'm so happy about my experience with this tour.
