Metafor – The Tree of Utah, ibland kallat Livets träd, är en 87 fot hög skulptur som skapades av den svenske konstnären Karl Momen på 1980-talet och invigdes 1986. Skulpturen, som huvudsakligen är konstruerad av betong, består av av en fyrkantig "stam" som håller upp sex sfärer som är belagda med naturliga stenar och mineraler från Utah. Det finns också flera ihåliga sfärsegment på marken runt basen. Skulpturen har för närvarande ett staket som omger basen för att skydda människor från fallande plattor. På plaketten finns orden från Ode till glädjen av Friedrich Schiller; används också som refräng för Beethovens nionde symfoni. Det har sagts att Momen flyttades för att skapa det 87 fot höga (27 m) trädet efter att ha haft en vision av ett träd när han körde över de ödsliga Bonneville Salt Flats. Efter invigningen av detta konstverk donerade Momen skulpturen till staten Utah och återvände till Sverige.
Resenärer kommer att hämtas upp från den angivna platsen i Salt Lake City och kommer att köras till Bonneville Salt Flats nära Nevada-gränsen. På vägen stannar vi till vid skulpturen Livets träd, där resenärer kan välja att ta bilder om de vill. När vi lämnar skulpturen tar vi oss till Salt Flats, där resenärer kan spendera sin tid med att ta bilder, gå på saltslätterna, etc. Resan ut och tillbaka är cirka 100 mil och tar cirka 1,5 timme varje väg.

About an hour and half drive from Salt Lake City. Very cool experience. Salt flats are expansive and our tour guide did a really good job taking photos of us and explaining things on the way.

We had a fantastic adventure at the Salt Flats and at Park City yesterday! Shawn was very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us throughout the day. He also took so many wonderful pictures of our family during the entire trip. He was great with my 8 year old and kept him entertained on the very long drives between stops. 저 혼자 여행이었는데 Shawn이 정말 잘 가이드해줬습니다. 호텔 픽업드랍 완벽하고, 제가 번호 알려줘서 문자로 연락했는데 답장도 빨랐어요. 제 예약에 문제가 있었는데 잘 해결해줬고, salt flat 워킹존, 드라이빙존 모두 데려다줬습니다. 제가 있고싶은 시간 만큼, 사진 찍고싶은 만큼 전부 마음대로 하게 해줬고 드라이빙존에서는 테슬라로 190키로까지 찍어줬어요ㅋㅋ 저도 밴드를 하고, Shawn은 밴드로 음악까지 냈더라구요. 왕복 3시간 정도 거리인데 밴드 음악 많이 알려주고 본인 밴드 노래도 들려줬습니다ㅎㅎ 영어 그렇게 잘하는 편 아니지만 대화 무리없이 했고 알아듣기 쉽게 말해줘요! 이전에 거의 영어 못하는 사람이 왔을 땐 핸드폰 통역 썼다고 하니 크게 걱정 안하셔도 될 것 같습니다ㅎㅎ 한국어 후기가 없어서 좀 걱정했었는데 다른 분은 그러지 않으시길 바라며 후기 남겨요:) 식당 추천, 가까이 들를곳 추천 전부 받았는데 만족했습니다!
