Fascinationen och pärlan i det bergiga Armenien är Sevan-sjön, som är en av världens största sötvattensjöar i hög höjd. Det är cirka 1900 m över havet. Sjön är av vulkaniskt ursprung och är omgiven av berg på 3000 m och higer. Det vackra landskapet och kristallvattnet serverar fina förutsättningar för utmärkt vila. Sjön är också berömd för sin halvö och medeltida kyrkkomplex byggt 874.
En underbar scen öppnar sig i den nordvästra delen av Sevan-sjön, där halvön torns över sjöns transparenta yta. Sevanavank kloster byggdes på halvön 874 av ordningen av kungen Ashot Bagratunis dotterprinsesse Mariam. Kyrkans silhuett mot bakgrund av den turkosa sjön och blå himmel ger ett oförklarligt intryck på besökarna.

In July, it was possible to visit this tour. I was alone with a lovely driver named Arakel, know if you have this driver, you are very lucky. And show it all and tell it. He'll bring it back and forth comfortably. If you're in the mood for a conversation, you'll be happy to support it.

We had a wonderful day exploring Armenia with Tamara as our tour guide and Karen as our driver. Both were in a great mood throughout the trip, incredibly helpful, attentive, and always eager to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. The highlights of the tour were beautiful Lake Sevan, the impressive monasteries, and the delicious cheese tasting. Everything was well organized, and Tamara shared interesting information and stories along the way, making the journey even more enjoyable. A special touch was the perfectly timed cognac tasting, which added a fun and memorable moment to the day. Many thanks to Tamara and Karen for their professionalism, kindness, and positive energy.
