Detta naturunderverk skulle vara värt ett besök bara för det pittoreska landskapet även om klostren inte fanns där. Saken är att de är det. De gamla grekiska klostren smälter in perfekt med den omgivande miljön och skapar en sensation en gång i livet. Det är min mest populära turné (mer än 100 gånger om året) och det finns en god anledning till det. Under åkturen kommer jag att förklara mycket om geologi, historia, ortodox religion och vilken inverkan Meteora har haft på Grekland genom århundradena. Vi kommer också att prata om Grekland och den grekiska livsstilen. Eftersom jag har gjort detta i så många år, känner jag till de bästa traditionella lokala restaurangerna, jag vet var de bästa stoppen är, vart vi ska gå, vi kommer att besöka platserna som är "utanför kartan" för majoriteten av turister, för att du ska ta de bästa bilderna som du annars skulle missa, och för att ge dig en oförglömlig upplevelse. Turnén är helt anpassningsbar och kan skräddarsys efter dina behov. De flesta resenärer besöker vanligtvis 2 eller till och med 3 kloster.

Vi hämtar dig! Vi har en nästan 100 minuters resa tills vi kommer till Meteora ett valfritt kort stopp vid en lokal ikonverkstad (10-20 minuter) Agios Stefanos är den som har lättast åtkomst Great Meteoron är den största av dem alla, (400 steg är inblandade) Roussanou Nunnery och Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas kloster är små kloster, båda enastående val. Varlaam-klostret (stängt på torsdagar och fredagar) är det som har bäst utsikt Naturligtvis är alla öppna kloster bra val. Många människor föredrar att inte ta alla dessa klostersteg (100-400 beroende på klostret) om så är fallet lägger vi mer tid på att fotografera. Så du kan alltid bestämma på plats vad som passar dig bäst. De flesta besöker 2 kloster, men om du bestämmer dig för att besöka fler är det inget problem för oss. The monasteries at Meteora are breathtaking! It is a must see for anyone who goes to Volos or has the time while in Greece. Our guide was fantastic.

Our tour from our ship to the monasteries of meteora was excellent. Costis our driver and our guide was at the ship before we disembarked. He took us to three monasteries and would have added more if we wanted to but we had seen enough. They are wonderful and amazing; highly recommend. He made sure we were able to efficiently see all we wanted. He added a few ‘secret’ sites. It is well worth the extra cost of a private tour. Highly recommend this tour and guide.
Demetrius picked us up at the port….he was on time but we were confused…he was patient and we all made connections. Two of us (old and not eager to climb) asked to be dropped off at the village square to drink coffee and admire the view.). Two of us climbed and enjoyed Meteora. My son said “ the photos are spectacular, but they do NOT do the site justice! “. It was amazing and we were all glad to have seen and done what we could. Private tour gives access to many more photo ops and unique locations that the big bus tours do not get to. Our guide Costas was well informed of the area and kept us entertained for the journey to and from Meteora from our cruise ship. He was on time, polite and happy to answer all of our endless questions. Ask him to take you to the bakery outside of Volos. The treats are out of this world.

Great experience for the family and it was fully customizable for our reduced timeline. The monasteries were amazing to see, and we felt like we were able to do so much in such a short period. The recommended location for lunch was fantastic!
Super great experience. Tour gentleman was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and the tour very informative. We learned history, traditions, and the local culture, experiencing breathtaking views and scenery. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken with Viator.
