Luxor med flyg blir snabbt lika populärt som Kairo. En av de främsta anledningarna till dess popularitet är att många turister inte besöker Luxor lika mycket som Kairo så du kan garantera att resan blir mer avslappnad utan det liv och rörelse som äger rum speciellt när man besöker Kairo och flygplatsen är verkligen inte lika hektisk. det är en av de resor som vi inte kan rekommendera starkt nog. Luxor är en stad i övre (södra) Egypten och huvudstad i Luxor Governorate. Som platsen för den antika egyptiska staden Thebe (den stora huvudstaden i Egypten under Nya kungariket), har Luxor ofta karakteriserats som "världens största friluftsmuseum", eftersom ruinerna av tempelkomplexen i Karnak och Luxor står inom den moderna staden. Omedelbart mittemot, på andra sidan Nilen, ligger monumenten, templen och gravarna på Necropolis på Västbanken, som inkluderar kungarnas dal och drottningarnas dal. Tusentals internationella turister anländer årligen för att besöka dessa monument.

Konungarnas dal: När Luxor var Egyptens huvudstad valde kungarna denna dal som deras begravningsplats gömd bland kullarna. Den innehåller mer än 62 gravar skurna av kungarna från 18:e, 19:e och 20:e dynastierna. Konungarnas dal fick sin berömmelse från upptäckten av den gyllene kungen Tut Ankh Amons grav. Äntligen ska du ta en upplevelse för lokalbefolkningens livsstil på Västbanken, och du kommer också att få chansen att lära känna några av deras hantverk. Så snart du är klar med ditt besök på Västbanken kör du till Östra stranden där du tar din lunch och tar en paus för att vara redo för den andra delen av turen.
Templet El Deir - Elbahri (drottningen Hatshepsuts tempel): Detta tempel är ett av de vackraste templen vi har i Egypten. Den hade skurits in i berget och byggdes av drottningen Hatshepsut (den starka kvinna som styrde Egypten på 1400-talet f.Kr.). Det användes som hennes bårhustempel.
Memmons kolosser: Memmons kolosser är två enorma statyer. De är de enda kvarvarande statyerna som står framför bårhusets tempel i Imonhotep III. Templet El Deir - Elbahri (drottningen Hatshepsuts tempel): Detta tempel är ett av de vackraste templen vi har i Egypten. Den hade skurits in i berget och byggdes av drottningen Hatshepsut (den starka kvinna som styrde Egypten på 1400-talet f.Kr.). Det användes som hennes bårhustempel.
Östra stranden: Karnaktemplen: Komplexet av Karnaktemplen är det näst största religiösa komplexet i hela världen!!!! Den har den största hypostylehallen (kolumnhall byggd av kungen Ramses II) i världen med 134 kolonner. Den byggdes av olika generationer av faraonerna. I den kommer du att se den högsta obelisken (Hatshepsuts obelisk) i Egypten. I slutet av din turné åker du till Luxors flygplats för att flyga tillbaka till Sharm el-Sheikh och vid din ankomst hittar du vår representant. väntar på att du ska ge dig en hiss till ditt hotell precis i tid för att fånga de sista beställningarna på middag.

They canceled my flight a few hours before. The refund will take place in 5 business days and therefore I have to pay an even higher amount upfront, given the proximity of the dates, for the next available date. Money spent on the visa (the 5 of us paid 150 euros). Excursions missed for the day of the new schedule and significant inconvenience. Never again with them!
We took the private tour (just a little more expensive) and our Ahmed and our driver Hammad were great. We got to plan the itinerary for the entire day and spend as long or as little at each location as we liked. There were no surprise charges (you do need to pay some nentry fees) and we were not forced to visit local factories etc. Knowledgabel guide and plenty for water supplied, air condicrtioned vehicle. Was great day for the kids. Our best day in Eygpt.

We experienced a full day private tour to Luxor by plane. We were picked up at our hotel promptly in a very clean and nice car. The transitions between teams at different check points were smooth. The experience was relaxing and rich in cultural experiences. Ahmed the tour guide made sure we were taken care of and accommodated our asks professionally. Essam the driver was very nice and drove very safe. I would highly recommend the tour experience to anyone from Sharm that wants a day excursion to experience the cultural aspects of Egypt.

We had a wonderful day on our private tour to Luxor. Ahmed our guide, and our drivers Mohammed and Mustafa (in Sharm and Luxor) were all lovely and everything ran extremely efficiently. Ahmed was great and tailor- made the trip for us brilliantly- ao we visited the tombs of Ramses V/V1, Seti and Tutankhamen - which were all well worth visiting, as well as a short boat trip on the Nile. We ended the day at Karnak temple which was spectacular, and then Luxor temple which was beautiful illuminated at night. A truly memorable end to a magic day. Thank you all!

During our trip to Sharm El Sheikh, we purchased a one-day tour to visit Luxor. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was extremely friendly, talkative, hospitable, and gentlemanly. He shared his extensive knowledge of Egyptian history with us in fluent English. When we wanted to extend the tour we had purchased, he offered us several alternative options. The tour was very comfortable, and the vehicle was also quite comfortable. He also took us to the airport exactly at the time we requested. We are planning to come here again and are already looking forward to traveling with him once more.

What a fantastic day . Fr pick up at 4am to flight at 6am , then meeting our fantastic guide Ahmed I juts can’t fault a thing about the day. Being a couple , we opted for the private tour so got a driver ( very good ) and guide in a new SUV , very luxurious. We visited the valley of the kings first to miss the rush and it was amazing. Lots of steps as you can expect but very compact area wise. Then off to two more sites and lunch on the Nile. As we were rattling round our itinerary Ahmed suggested we could fit in more sites for a very reasonable £70 extra each and we agreed. Truly awesome day with Luxor almost completed but we will be back. Oh and the pit stop on the way back to the airport where Ahmed bought us drinks and Snack for the departure lounge to save paying airport prices was a lovely touch. 100% recommend and ask for Ahmed on your booking , if when we come back - we will be.

This trip is only worth it if you are completely desperate to see the sites in luxor . If you have time and money shop around as this experience ,we felt was a complete money grabbing operation. None of the sites entry tickets where in included in the price so the whole day you are paying EXTRA money ontop of what you already paid . Everyone who greets or you or marginally interacts with you wants high tips and treats you coldly and with disdain if you don't pay enough . There where 2 waste of time excursions to spice and pottery shops where the staff are shouting at you and almost forcing you to buy things and incredibly pushy and rude. The lunch was a minimum option buffet that made us both feel sick after. We where also dropped off at the airport 4 hours before our flight ! This time could have been spent at other sites or added to the sites we seen. It was all very rushed and hardly anytime at the sites. Of course we Loved the sites themselves ancient Egyptians are amazing modern ones not so much . Disappointed to be very honest .
My sister and I had such an amazing experience with Hamdy. His knowledge on the history of Egypt is amazing. Very extensive and interesting. I would highly recommend this private excursion with him because he allows you to tailor your experience to how you would like to spend the day. We’re so glad we got to see as much as we did.
