Barry is the best. What a guide. A genuinely good person with lots of knowledge and a good spirit. I spent a really memorable morning seeing the fantastic tombs and Barry was really very thoughtful and a great companion throughout
It was great to see all the sights! It is also good that the driver was able to cope properly even if irregularity occurred 👍
It is overall a good trip. The driver is patient and always waiting for us. The trip is also flexible and we can decide which temple to go. Intense but worthy big tour of all ancient Luxor. All the sites are famous must-see. My driver was experienced and spoke good english, which was enjoyable. I can recommend.

The guide doesn’t speak the best English and the driver would disappear so we had to keep waiting for the car after visiting sites. Fine way to get around the city and see the temples, though. Think the area is generally a bit poorer so maybe education system not as good as other parts of Egypt

All of our guides are licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and must complete specialized education and exams before guiding visitors at archaeological sites. English is not the first language for many guides in Egypt, but they work hard to communicate complex history and culture to international guests every day. Regarding the driver, vehicles are often required to wait in designated parking areas away from the monuments, which can sometimes give the impression that the driver has disappeared when in fact he is waiting where the authorities require. We would also respectfully note that Luxor is one of the most historically significant cities in the world, home to generations of historians, archaeologists, and professional guides dedicated to preserving and sharing Egypt’s heritage. Comments about the local education system do not accurately reflect the expertise and professionalism of the people who work in tourism here.
