Du kommer att få en bra översikt över strandlandningarna som ägde rum på Omaha Beach den 6 juni 1944. Därefter kommer du att ha cirka 15 minuter ledig tid att gå på sanden (beroende på tidvattenförhållanden) där amerikanska styrkor landade på D-dagen.
Guiden kommer att leda dig till den otroliga amerikanska kyrkogården och förklara många viktiga fakta om när den byggdes, varför den ligger där den är och många berättelser om män och kvinnor som är begravda här. Du kommer att få cirka 45 minuter ledig tid att utforska på egen hand.
Du kommer att lära dig om rollen som de amerikanska Rangers på D-Day som var tvungna att ta sig upp över klipporna vid Pointe-Du-Hoc för att tysta tyska långdistansvapen. Du kommer att få tillräckligt med ledig tid att utforska på egen hand efter förklaringarna från din guide.
Vi stannar vid Sainte Mere Eglise för att förklara vikten av den 82:a luftburna operationen på D-dagen. På denna plats kommer vi att stanna i 1 timme och 30 minuter. Under denna tid får du 1 timmes ledig tid för lunch. Observera att lunch inte ingår i priset för turen. Om du föredrar det kan du använda hela 90 minuterna på din fritid. Du kan ta ett snabbt mellanmål och sedan besöka det imponerande Airborne Museum. I hjärtat av Sainte-Mère-Eglise, vänd mot kyrkan där John Steele berömt fångades, hängande från klocktornet i sin fallskärm. Airborne Museum får dig att leva och förstå D-dagen från invasionsförberedelserna i England, till striderna för befrielse. Gå ombord på ett segelflygplan och ett C-47 flygplan med ljud- och ljuseffekter för en total nedsänkning. Du kommer också att följa med soldaterna från den 82:a och 101:a luftburna divisionen i de avgörande striderna vid landstigningarna i Normandie tack vare en hyperrealistisk museografi.
Din guide kommer att ge dig en detaljerad redogörelse för landningarna av den amerikanska 4:e infanteridivisionen innan du ger dig lite ledig tid att utforska de många monumenten som finns här.
Den lilla byn Angoville-Au-Plain, som ligger cirka 5 miles från Carentan, bevittnade hårda strider mellan tyska fallskärmsjägare och amerikanska fallskärmsjägare som släppte i närheten vid dropzone D. Efter vår 101:a Airborne-briefing kommer du sedan att höra den otroliga historien om två Airborne Läkare. Kenneth Moore och Robert Wright visade inte bara mod utan också mänsklighet under den desperata kampen för att ta detta lilla område i Normandie.

We arranged for a private, guided experience to the American beaches and cemetery and the Airborne Museum. My wife has limited mobility and my daughter and her husband were with us, so we needed a guide who could help us make sure that everyone had a good experience. Our guide, Marine, did just that. We got to the Omaha and Utah beaches, the museum, and the American cemetery, which is the most somber, tragic, beautiful, and compelling place we have ever visited. Marine has a firm and impressive grasp of the background, context, and details around D-Day. She gave us great information and also made sure that we visited places where my wife could walk and also places where the youngsters could leave the old farts behind. She gave us clear directions but also enough flexibility so we could spend more time in some places and less in others. We were very grateful to have arranged the private tour----it would have been much more difficult for us on a larger tour bus.

Our experience with Bayeux Shuttle was exceptional. Booking directly on line was easy and from our first contact the company was responsive and interested in creating the perfect private tour for our family of ten ages 73 to 8. Our all day tour of the WW2 sites was lead by Fred, our outstanding and knowledgeable tour guide. We travelled in a van which comfortably accommodated our party. Fred provided us with information and stories about the sites that made everything come together. As my father was a WW2 US infantryman our guide, Fred, was able to shed light on what my father would have experienced. We never felt rushed and were given ample time at each site. Fred was patience in listening to our questions and answering them thoughtfully. We could not have been more pleased with our tour.

Our guide, Roma, was wonderful - full of information, highly enthusiastic and very accommodating to our needs. We loved the tour and would highly recommend this to anyone. We were so happy to have our personal guide versus being in a large tour group. Well worth the money.

Pierre was an astounding wealth of information on Normandy and the ticking clock of the dday activities. We —a group of Americans and French left with a deep understanding of the incredible effort by both the Germans and the allies to fight in this special place.

Our tour guides name was Marine and she was fantastic! She took myself and my three teenage boys and an all day excursion where we cover a number of the beaches, the Americancemetery, and a few towns in between. She was very friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about World War II and Normandy in particular. She even had water for uswhich we had forgotten to bring! We never felt rushed and we had a very good sense of what happened in Normandy. I would highly recommend her as a guide!
