One of our group has some difficulty walking. Our guide did a great job navigating areas that facilitated all of us enjoying the tour. Also in the heat, he kept us in shade as much as possible
Thank you for the wonderful review. We're so pleased you enjoyed your tour. Hope to see you on another Insight Cities tour in Prague, Berlin, Budapest, Vienna, or Salzburg. Safe travels!
Barbara, was a great guide for the Vienna’s Art Nouveau tour. We visited important sites including Secession House and Otto Wagner-designed buildings. She provided historical background and answered our varied questions about history, art, Vienna past and present. She could not have provided us a more thorough, useful and pleasant experience.
Thank you for taking the time to review. We're proud to work with such terrific guides. Hope to see you again on Insight Cities tours in Berlin, Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg.
My wife and I had Wolfgang take us around Vienna. My wife was familiar with the nouveau movement but I was not so it was definitely an education, and it was really interesting to see a side of Vienna which I think is very easy to overlook and frankly which you would never see if you were exploring on your own. He was also very helpful in giving other tips and sharing his knowledge of Vienna as well. An enjoyable three hours with the weather in our favour!
Thanks for the warm feedback. That makes our day. And thanks for recommending Insight Cities tour to your friends traveling to Prague, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest and Salzburg. Safe travels!
If architecture is your passion, then this tour is for you! Our guide, Annelie, was a wealth of information about Vienna Secessionism (Vienna’s brand of Art Nouveau), and about Vienna itself. We met outside a traditional Viennese café, where we found our jetlagged selves craving coffee. Alas, coffee “to go” is not commonly available in Vienna, where coffee is meant to be slowly sipped and savored over a newspaper (or several newspapers). Hence, the tour began with coffee and pastries (yum!) inside the café with Annelie giving us an overview of the tour and of Vienna Secessionism. Once on foot, we covered a wide territory (including a ride on the U-Bahn) and saw some beautiful and unique architecture. The Vienna Secessionist building was a highlight, and Annelie’s description of Gustav Klimt’s “Beethoven Frieze” inside the building was particularly helpful (note—entrance fee to the building is not included in the price of the tour). Wandering through Otto Wagner’s Postal Savings Bank was another joy. I highly recommend this tour for architectural aficionados!
Thank you so much for coming back and leaving such a positive and detailed review for other travellers considering taking the tour. Really appreciated. We'll make sure to tell Annelie how much you enjoyed it. Let us know if you need any additional touring in our other European cities -- Prague, Budapest, Berlin & Salzburg. Elizabet, Insight Cities
The Bthoven Fies in the Sezession but as well the Majolikahouses near by the Naschmarkt. And last but not least the Zacherl-house in the downtown.
Glad you enjoyed seeing these fabulous sites! Thanks for the feedback.
