När vi lämnar hamnen kommer vi att köra längs Pilot Bay och förbi Mount Maunganui. Hör Maori-legenden och lär dig betydelsen av namnet. Förundras över den fantastiska vita sandstranden där vi kan stanna för vackra foton.
Andas lite frisk luft i en vacker Redwood Forest och se en Silver Fern.
Se den största lerpölen i denna region och bli förvånad över den bubblande och kokande leran och minivulkanerna. Ta sedan en promenad runt det fantastiska geotermiska reservatet och förundras över färgerna och texturerna i geotermiska underverk. Waiotapu är kontantlös. Du måste betala med kort.

We came for the Lady Knox 10am then did the wonderland hikoi which is amazing and I would highly recommend. Please put toilets at the Lady Knox carpark - there were literally hundreds of people yesterday many like us had driven from Rotorua. I would think it would be a basic requirement for a tourist attraction?
Unfortunately for us they won't be putting toilets at the geyser for environmental reasons. We are required to use the toilets at the main area of Waitapu. Like you I would appreciate a toilet for my guests at the geyser.
We are glad we booked this private tour. The Wai O Tapu geothermal features are quite spectacular. Our driver Don went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We saw some amazing views on our way there. For example, he stopped by the McLaren Falls where we took a short walk through a lovely fern forest to see the waterfall. We were never rushed at the sites. All in all we had a delightful time. Thanks Don.

We had a fantastic day with Wendy. She is very knowledgeable regarding the area as she has been there her entire life. She was waiting for us when we got off the ship and we promptly traveled to Rotorua and the Te Pa Tu Experience and Haka dance. Her vehicle is very comfortable and she even has it set up with a speaker system, so that everyone could hear her informative/educational commentary. She had scheduled a tour to see Kiwis and thermal geysers in such a way that we were ahead of the crowds. She is clearly a professional tour guide. We also toured the redwood forest which was beautiful and interesting. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning about the Maori people and the areas around Tauranga and Rotorua. Thank you, Wendy.

This was an awesome tour with amazing tour guide Wendy. The geothermal sights were incredible and the tour was comfortably paced. Wendy was knowledgeable and made the experience fun and special. Highly recommend!
