Privat tur till þórsmörk glaciärer och vattenfall
Beskrivning
I denna privata sightseeingjeeptur kommer vi att köra till þórsmörk från Hvolsvöllur, det finns många flodkorsningar på väg dit. Vi kommer att stanna vid gígjökull och beundra dess skönhet och se hur utbrottet 2010 påverkar området. Vi vandrar in till stakkholtsgjá (ravinen) innan vi besöker básar och går runt. Þórsmörk-turen är en fantastisk dag där du kan få en rolig stund i bilen över floden och vandra i vackra omgivningar. Om du inte är en vandrare kan vi hoppa över vandringen och bara köra runt i området.

Vi kommer att köra upp till rötterna utanför gígjökull och se hur utbrottet 2010 förändrade området
Vi vandrar in till kanjonen och besöker vattenfallet i slutet av kanjonen.
Fantastisk vandring in i en kanjon och till ett vattenfall till slut.
Här på Básar camping kan vi slå oss ner för lunch, äta vad du tar med eller köpa kött-soppa korv eller något mellanmål i en liten butik i Básar och sedan kan vi vandra om du orkar.

The key to discovering the secrets of Iceland is to find an Icelander who will share their secrets. There are so many undiscovered wonders and Freystein is the perfect guide to share them with you. My daughter and I came here for her college graduation. Frey came highly recommended.He showed us areas of the Iceland highlands few have access to and even fewer know how to navigate ( we saw several abandoned tourist cars😱) Thank you so much for sharing these special places and all of your stories. We are looking for trolls and elves everywhere!
Highly recommend this tour with Fred. You might be tempted to DIY this type of trip but you will just end up trashing your rental car and having to pay for a new car when your insurance won't cover it. Instead book this tour with Fred - he will take you in his 4x4 off road vehicle across the rivers and into the valley where you will see fantastic views, get up close and personal to glaciers and waterfalls. The hiking can be as little or as much as you want. We opted to have Fred bring the lunch and enjoyed freshly grilled hamburgers. Best of all since Fred grew up in the area you can ask him about anything and everything about Iceland - politics, education, culture. Fred's stories about what it's like to grow up in Iceland are funny and interesting. We had a great day touring with Fred.
