Balatonsjön är den ungerska landsbygdens skönhet. Ungerns version av Provance. Du kommer att njuta av fantastisk utsikt, små byar med hundraåriga vitkalkade hus och fantastiska naturformationer. Vi passerar det vackert renoverade klostret Tihany, som grundades för 1000 år sedan. För 8 euro per person kan vi titta på den tjusiga barockinredningen. Turen är fylld med skönheter, intressant historia och (om du väljer att skicka oss ett meddelande) mycket gott vin! Utsikten, den stora gastronomin, de friska vinerna, charmen i byarna och det historiska och arkitektoniska arvet i regionen är alla goda skäl att göra en resa hit. Vill du ha en annan starttid? Denna tur är den vackraste just nu. Vackra vårfärger, med massor av blommor, perfekt väder. Första stoppet: vi stannar vid en vacker, naturskön plats vid Balatonsjön. Detta är vanligtvis en kort 5 - 10 minuters stopp. Den angivna 90-minuterstiden inkluderar även restiden.
En oförglömlig utsikt över Balatonsjön. Sjön är vackrast under oktober, med fantastiska höstfärger, speciellt på soliga dagar.
Vi kör sedan till Balatonfüred för att se denna ädla stad med många herrgårdar och en pittoresk strandpromenad. Det vackra centrumet och de vackra villorna och herrgårdarna kommer sannolikt att stjäla ditt hjärta!
Går på gatorna i den vackraste byn i Ungern. Du kan också prova regionens berömda produkter, såsom lavendelöl, lavendellimonad, lavendelchoklad, lavendelgelato....
Klostret grundades för nästan tusen år sedan. Vi kan titta på den vackert dekorerade barockkyrkan. från insidan också om vi köper en biljett. (8 euro per person.) Detta ger oss också möjlighet att titta på utställningen om klostrets historia.
På vägen hem åker vi på färjan som går över sjön.

Auti was right on time picking us up at our hotel. He was a great driver and told us interesting things about Hungary. We had a lovely lunch overlooking Lake Balaton in Tihanyi a beautiful village where lavender grows. The village was nice to walk around and the monastery was a beautiful sight as well. Thx Auti for treating us very well.

For those who want to briefly and thoroughly know the area of Lake Balton, this is the way. A trip of just over an hour, boarding the car on a ferry, visiting the major towns of the peninsula, Tiananmen and Baltonford. In October this was a time off for a seaside holiday that was quite cold. But the throwing colors are lovely. The driver Attila was excellent. Recommended a restaurant among the groves. It was great. Not very expensive. Drive carefully and safely.

We had the most amazing experience with our guide, Balazs, on a day trip from Budapest to Lake Balaton. He picked us up in his beautifully restored 1965 mint green Volvo, which was such a unique and fun way to start the journey. Driving through Hungary in this epic classic car made us feel like celebrities — even coming from Hollywood, California, people were snapping photos of us everywhere we went! Balazs is a fantastic guide – knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing his local history and culture. Along the way, he gave us fascinating insights into both Budapest and Balaton, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He took us to the most gorgeous lunch spot at Echo in Balaton, where the food and views were equally incredible. We crossed the lake, drank fresh sparkling water straight from the ground, and even watched the graceful brown swans. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and special. What really stood out was Balazs himself – friendly, personal, and accommodating to our requests, always going the extra mile to make the day perfect. By the end, it felt like we were exploring with a friend rather than just a guide. This tour was truly a highlight of our time in Hungary, and we can’t recommend Balazs highly enough!

Our family had a fantastic tour to Lake Balaton. The lake is lovely and our guide was fantastic. He changed the tour up and took us to a winery bc we said we like wine. He was so nice to my son and a great guide. He took us to a lovely restaurant on the lake. We all really enjoyed the day.
