Communication was poor, and the driver never not showed up; however Viator refunded me quickly, thank you Viator

As we arrived in TQO, we were notified our driver would be a little late. This concern quickly turned into one of our best Viator experiences. Our driver Israel was exceptional 👌! He had frosty beverages waiting for us!!! Not only as we were loading, the AB Transfers office was calling to let me know of the situation. Not only did they contact me for that, they also accommodated our our pickup that allowed us to go to the store before our trip destination. This company made us feel like we were special customers. Excellent service, driver Abimael kept in touch at all times. He was very attentive and helped us with luggage. I highly recommend it, and if I come back again I would definitely contact them again.

Very poor communication from the transport company and the driver. Driver was almost an hour late picking us up from the airport, even though our flight was already 30 minutes delayed.

We also understand from the driver that there was a queue when entering the airport, which contributed to the delay. That said, we fully agree that the situation should have been handled much better. The driver should have communicated more clearly and proactively, and we take full responsibility for that. We have already addressed this internally with the driver, as this does not meet our service standards. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us improve. Nobody was at the airport to pick us up. Nobody called. I called them no answer. I called Viator for a refund and finally someone called me. They were over 45 minutes late. There were no snacks no drinks. Never in my life has that happened to me. DONT BOOK!

On that day, your flight landed approximately 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, while our driver was completing a previous airport pickup affected by a significant airline delay. To minimize the impact, we immediately arranged an additional driver to assist. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the timing did not work in our favor and we understand how frustrating that must have felt after a long flight. As a gesture of goodwill, we issued a 50% refund to acknowledge the inconvenience caused. Please know that situations like this are extremely rare for us. We monitor flights in real time and pride ourselves on punctual and reliable service. This was an unfortunate combination of circumstances and not reflective of our normal standards. Best price for an airport transfer from Tulum. Oscar was there right away with a sign and was smiling the whole time! Would definitely recommend to anyone not wanting to pay crazy fees to get into town.
