The driver was prompt, friendly and communicative throughout the day as unforeseen circumstances changed the return portion.
The vehicles and drivers were outstanding, the process was confusing and stressful. The pickup location (provided to us in the app) was given to a taxi driver at our arrival terminal at CDG. It was a ramp within the airport with no way to even get out of a car. Fortunately we had time before our pickup. Our taxi driver took us near a hotel and eventually we were able to communicate to the actual car service driver where to pick us up. In the return from Versailles I was on it early obviously. I sent a text right away to the “activity provider” and the the call centre chat. I didn’t hear anything for over two hours. Again thankful we had lots of time and I was trying to nail it down. I was told for the return trip that I should have given a pick up location days before arriving. Nobody explained that and we didn’t see anything suggesting that in the app or booking tool. Also, new to Paris, new to Versailles. Might I suggest that you have suggestions for pickup that make sense (not a highway) and give that to the people booking a day trip to Versailles. Asking a foreigner to pick a spot in Versailles days in advance makes absolutely little sense to me. Do better, if you want foreigners to use the service then I suggest you plan pick ups out as a default and let the customer change it. It’s a trip to Versailles and back to CDG… have a default that’s the “best” option. You should know not the person whom has never been to Versailles. Again, excellent, excellent drivers and service, I felt bad for them working with such disorganization and last minute locations selections when it’s not necessary.
Thanks for the kind words about our drivers. As the dispatcher, a few things to clarify. Your booking showed an 8:00 AM landing — your driver would have texted you 1 hour before to confirm he’d be right at the arrivals doors inside the terminal. You actually left the airport at 6:30 AM by taxi and ended up 7km away. We honestly don’t get why — the pickup was inside the arrivals hall, no reason to step outside. When you reached out, your driver was already on his way. We still got you a replacement right away. For the return, I had your driver contact you 2 hours early, which he did. You messaged me through Viator about the address change — I did receive it, but Viator can sometimes have delays. You had your driver’s number though, a quick text to him would’ve sorted it, especially since the new address was only 500 meters from the original. Our drivers were on point the whole time. Best,
Driver was very prompt and picked us up exactly where he said he would be. A great way to get to Versailles.
Our driver Simone was prompt courteous and the van was clean and spacious. He knew exactly what our drop off snd pickup l points were and made sure we clear. His English was excellent. Highly recommend this service.
