En fästning från 1700-talet förvandlades till ett judiskt getto och nazistiskt politiskt fängelse under andra världskriget - upplev det och lär dig mer om en sorglig sann del av den europeiska historien som påverkade hela världen. Terezin koncentrationsläger är strategiskt nära Prag (45-60 min bilresa). Du kommer att lära dig andra världskrigets historia - skillnaden mellan koncentrations- och dödsläger, nazistpropagandans psykologi som döljer sanningen för resten av världen, Gestapos politiska fängelse, individuella personliga berättelser, liv och kultur i det judiska gettot. Staden är uppdelad i två delar: före detta Gestapos politiska fängelse (senare kommunistiskt fängelse) och det judiska gettot som presenteras som "en stad som gavs till judar från Adolf Hitler för krigstiden". Du kommer att se det tidigare Gestapo fängelset, det judiska museet i gettot, en judisk sovsal, Magdeburg kasernen (museet för kultur i gettot) och mer. Därefter avnjuter ni tjeckisk lunch i ett lokalt bryggeri (ingår).

Din privata guide och chaufför kommer att hämta dig på din Prag plats och efter 45-60 min bekväm bilresa når du Terezin koncentrationsläger. Det är strategiskt nära Prag. Först av allt kommer du att guidas genom Terezin lilla fästningen som var en gestapo politiskt fängelse (senare ett kommunistiskt fängelse) - fängelseceller, duschar och gå genom tunnlarna i fästningen. Titta på propagandafilmen om "judiskt paradis" - falsk presentation av nazister i jämförelse med grym verklighet i lägret.
Efter besök på Museum of f.d. Jewish ghetto (material, videor av enskilda berättelser om människor som bor i gettot) kommer du att guidas genom judiska gettot för att uppleva mer av livet i gettot. Observera : krematorium, kolumbarium och ceremonirum är stängda på lördagar.
Kultur i koncentrationsläger gör det tidigare Terezin-gettot till en plats med skarpa kontraster. I dessa baracker (tidigare säte för den judiska styrelsen) lär du dig om olika områden av kulturen (musik, grafik, litteratur, teater), träffa enskilda författare och se en modell av sovsalar. Vid intresse (valfritt) besöker vi krematorium, kolumbarium (tidigare förvaring av aska), bårhus och ceremonirum (alla dessa är stängda på lördagar). Efteråt avnjuter du läcker tjeckisk lunch i ett lokalt bryggeri (ingår).

I can't say enough wonderful things about this tour. Michal was an absolute delight We were traveling with 80 year old parents with limited mobility and Michal was amazing about making sure they enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Tour is completely private which is nice as he catered the tour to our wants. He is so knowledgeable of Terezin and WWII. He took us to a local town for lunch where we enjoyed a traditional Czeck lunch, which was delicious. If you are wanting to visit the Terezin memorial, don't hesitate to book this tour. It is nice to see the memorial in a more intimate way versus a 40 person bus tour with a speaker to your ear. It was the best tour we did in our 2 week trip in Europe.
It was a great experience and we learnt a lot about Terezin and its history, our tour guide Michal was excellent and he explained us every thing what we needed to know about the place and showed us the most important parts of Terezin
This was an amazing tour! It lived up to all our expectations. Michal was an excellent tour guide and was able to get into much detail about the daily lives of those who suffered this terrible nightmare. I highly recommend Michael for any future tours. You will not be disappointed.
Michal guided us (a German and a Frenchwoman) through Theresienstadt. He empathically imparted his vast historical and cultural knowledge to us and sensitively accompanied us on this historically difficult walk. This was by far (!!) the best private tour we ever had. Also: it couldn't be easier, hotel pickup, comfortable, well-kept, large car, drinks on board and a nice lunch.

Michael was amazing! So personable and genuine, it was like taking a day trip with a friend. We all loved him! He is laid back and let's you govern the day you want. We wanted to sleep in some so we went later in the day. Although the tour is a solemn one, we all really enjoyed it! He is very knowledgeable about the subject, picked a wonderful place for lunch, and the transportation there was very comfy. THANKS MICHAEL!!
I had assumed that I would be on a bus with 20 people. Instead it turned out to be a private tour for an extremely reasonable price. Michal was very knowledgeable, had grown up locally, and provided me with a glimpse into Czech life on the way to Terezin. Once we got there, he provided an exceptional tour in the areas that was allowed, and then found me a private tour guide in the areas that were restricted. He tailored the tour to my knowledge and interests. After, he took me to a nearby town for an Czech lunch fit for local culture. All in all this was one of the best tours I have had.
