Seljalandsfoss är ett vattenfall som kan omges helt och hållet på Islands sydkust med en droppe på 60 meter.
Skógafoss är en av de vackraste vattenfallen på Island. Detta klassiska 62 m höga och 15 m branta vattenfall är det sista och mest spektakulära i en serie faller som finns i Skógáfloden.
Reynisfjara är en svart sandstrand som rankades 1991 som en av de tio vackraste icke-tropiska stränderna i världen. Det anses av många den farligaste stranden på Island för sin kraftfulla ström. Strax utanför stranden finns Reynisdrangar, basaltbottnar som ligger under berget Reynisfjall nära byn Vík i Mýrdal.
Dyrhólaey, tidigare känd av sjömän som Cape Portland, är ett litet promonotory beläget på Islands sydkust, inte långt från Vik. Halvön har en höjd på 120 meter (37 m), och Dyrhólaey fyr sitter högst upp i formationen mot havet. Utsikten från Dyrhólaey är bred: I norr ses den stora glaciären Mýrdalsjökull. I öster kommer Reynisdrangarens svarta lavakolonner ut ur havet och i väster hela kusten mot Selfoss. På sommaren kan många Atlantpuffiner hitta sig på Dyrhólaeys klippor.

I found Walter on TripAdvisor while planning our Iceland stop on a cruise from Southampton. We were traveling from Bermuda aboard the Norwegian Prima, and from the very first message, Walter felt like someone we could count on. He stayed in touch for months to sort out the plans, always quick to respond, always accommodating. By the time we met in person it felt like greeting an old friend. We spent two days touring with him. One exploring the South Coast from Reykjavík and the other touring the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading to KEF. Everything went smoothly. Walter took care of every detail. He showed up with water and snacks, made sure we were all comfortable and well fed and somehow made the day feel both exciting and easy. He taught us Icelandic along the way, had us practicing words like fjall, foss, jökull, and of course Hekla. He told us the stories behind the land, the volcanoes, the waterfalls…he brought Iceland to life for us in such a beautiful way. Walter has this calm and generous energy that makes you feel instantly at ease. We laughed, we learned and we felt completely cared for from start to finish. By the end of our trip, Walter didn’t feel like a tour guide. He felt like family. If he ever comes to Bermuda, we would welcome him with open arms. What he gave us was more than just a tour. It was a memory we’ll hold onto for a very long time. Takk fyrir, Walter. Hjartans þakkir. You will always have a place in our hearts.

My sister and I booked both airport pickup and a south coast tour with Walter, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Walter was ready to pick us up right when we landed, and he was friendly and helpful throughout the day. He handled our flight delay and a hotel mixup with grace, and he was more than willing to accommodate our questions and interests on the south coast tour. The south coast tour was impressive. We saw amazing waterfalls, the black sand beach, puffins, and more. Walter was very knowledgeable about every area we visited, and he knew a great spot for us to eat along the way. He is a safe driver, a fun tour guide, and a kind person. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him in the future should we ever return to Iceland!
