På 1800-talet, efter att Goethe berömde sin skönhet i hela Europa och nämnde den i sin bok italiensk resa, blev Taormina ett obligatoriskt stopp på Grand Tour - den långa resan som gjordes på kontinentala Europa - av tidens unga europeiska aristokrati för att berika deras egen kultur. Idag är det en turisthuvudstad på Sicilien och många resenärer livnar upp sina gator under hela året.
De gamla grekerna älskade att bygga sina byggnader på vackra natursköna platser. Här hittade de parningen Etna och Naxosbukten, med en underbar utsikt som när luften är klar kan nå Calabrias kust. Det är säkert stadens huvudmonument, inte bara för dess inre konstnärliga värde, utan också för det natursköna läget där den ligger. Vyn som uppifrån uppifrån definieras till och med som utsiktsförmåga. Den som inte får missa när du är på Sicilien.
Savoca (Messina), en av de vackraste byarna i Italien, vars namn härstammar från den äldre växten (savucu på siciliansk dialekt), en buske som fortfarande växer vild i sprickorna mellan hus och som representeras i den medeltida pälsen byns vapen. Denna lilla stad som ligger i berget av en kulle med dubbla spetsar, upplevde intresset för kungar, påvar och Archimandrite-prelater, i följd av perioder med allvarlig kris och välstånd. Basaltblocken som ligger på vägar som leder mellan separata små hus, nyligen restaurerade med sicilianska brickor på tak och fönster inramade i sten, sedan efter gator i berget här hittar du extremt fragmenterade ruiner och gamla cisterner.

Our experience with Rome In Limo was outstanding! This was the second time in the past several years that we used RIL and once again they far exceeded our high expectations. Six of us thoroughly enjoyed our three excursions: 1) The Godfather Country, 2) Private Day Trip to Florence and Pisa and Daytrip from Rome to Pompei and Sorrento and Private. RIL always met us on time in each port, asked our specific interests for each tour and accommodated every special request. As an example, on the Florence/Pisa tour, we requested if it would be possible to tour a Tuscany winery. While not part of that tour, the driver made it happen; turned out to be one of the best tours (and wine tastings) ever! All drivers and tour guides were exceptional; friendly, extremely knowledgeable, flexible and just fun to be around! We have recommended RIL to many family and friends and all had equally great experiences. Highly recommend them.

We have used Rome in Limo before and have loved every minute of our tours. Luca was our driver at this location snd was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions. He was so proud of his home and excited to share all he could with us. We asked him to recommend a local restaurant. He took us to the most wonderful restaurant with the most authentic food. I had something that I had never tried and it was delicious. The owner was gracious and treated us like family. It was such a great tour and we were sad when it was over. Highly recommend Rome in Limo. This was our fourth tour and tour guide and it could not have been better. Thank you for making our vacation excursion the best.

The Godfather Tour wasn't just about seeing where some of the movies were filmed (though we certainly did that!), it was about learning the history of the locations, the people, the food, the culture, and so, so much more. Luca, our tour guide, was amazing! His knowledge of the area, the ancient history of the churches and villages was fantastic! We shared with him the things we wanted to learn about the area, and he more than delivered. We highly recommend RomeInLimo. Their level of service is refreshingly wonderful!

Seamless experience! Tour guide met us as we left the cruise ship. Whisked us off ahead of the big tour buses (ie the crowds). Had a great day planned for us. My husband and son are huge Godfather fans, so seeing the sites and hearing the history was a great treat. Bigger treat was where we were taken for lunch -small local restaurant which was AMAZING!!! Great seafood!!! Highly recommend
