På morgonen kommer du att hämtas från ditt hotell i centrala Luxor eller hamnen av ett luftkonditionerat fordon för en fullständig guidad resa på cirka 5 timmar. Först kommer du att transporteras till Necropolis of Thebe, Konungarnas dal på Luxors västbank. Denna gamla begravningsplats är ett måste för Luxor-resenärer. Där besöker du fyra kungliga gravar, inklusive Ramses grav, Horemhebs grav, Merenptahs grav och förstås kung Tuts grav. Tutankhamons grav är den enda graven i kungadalen.
Ramesses III-graven, betecknad KV 11, är ett komplext system i Kings of the Kings. Tomb of King Ramesses lX var den tredje faraon i den tjugonde dynastin i det nya kungariket i det antika Egypten. Hans namn innan han antog kronan var Amonhirkhopshef. Han var Ramesses III:s femte son och utnämndes till kronprinspositionen under det tjugoandra året av sin fars regeringstid när alla fyra av hans äldre bröder föregick hans befordran till kronprins. Graven har så mycket färg och detaljer till och med taket ovanför sarkofagen med dess gudinna Nut som sträcker sig över utrymmet. Sarkofagen är en av de största i dalen, även om några av målningarna har försämrats är den en av de mest dekorerade.
Efter att ha besökt gravarna kommer du att transporteras till Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), den enda kvinnan som någonsin kommer att regera över Egypten som Farao. Denna drottning var en förfader till kung Tutankhamun och tillhörde samma dynasti.
I egyptisk mytologi är Ptah demiurgen av Memphis, gud för hantverkare och arkitekter. I eller helt enkelt i sin falkform av den nya gudomen började de placeras i gravar för att följa och skydda de döda på sin resa till västra Luxor. Hassan was an excellent guide! He provided a great 'big picture' look at Egyptian history that we found incredibly interesting.
