Our guide, Claudio, was excellent! However, Viator GAVE HIM THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER AND WE RECEIVED NO MESSAGES FROM VIATOR THAT OUR TRIP WAS INCOMPLETE. Claudio could not contact us because he had the wrong number. We had no communication from Viator because of the wrong number and no email was sent. Ridiculous. Claudio did his best to show us around In spite of the poor communication. I will think twice before using Viator again. Very poor notification and communication
It's a great way to learn about the communist regime this country had some decades ago by visiting the landmarks of historical events. You get to know the history behind them and have a good notion of this period. My guide, Diana, was exceptionally well prepared and with Cristian, the driver, had a very good time. Excellent tour.
Christian was great and entertaining. We saw most the former communist sites. I had great day and everything was explained perfectly
Romanian story of Communism isn't complete without a trip to Targoviste. Christian is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about this part of history and his country. We feel that he shared not only the effects of Communism on it's people, but the makeup of the country. We do not hesitate to recommend Christian as your consummate profession tour guide, and now, we consider him a friend. See you on our next visit Christian!!
While a little expensive, this was a private tour that showed me everything I wanted to see about communist life in Romania. Having recently been introduced to this era of Romanian history, it is really something to see not only where the Ceaușescus lived, but also where they were executed. My guide knew a lot of the details that I wanted to know, so it was well worth it.
