Fantastisk utsikt över bergen och sjöarna i Killarney National Park. Hennes Majestät Drottning Victorias favoritplats, som besökte Killarney 1861.

Bra audiovisuell presentation fokuserad på lokala platser. Blasketöarna, Skelligöarna och lokal historia. Café, restaurang och toalettanläggning.
Gallarus Oratory är en bikupa från 600-talet. Är faktiskt den första kristna kyrkan, klostersidan i Irland. Galarus är ett fantastiskt exempel på hög nivå av ingenjörskonst från antiken. Byggnadsliknande kapell är byggt med perfekt matchande stenar utan murbruk. Alla stenar är i en viss vinkel så att inget vatten kan rinna igenom. Inuti är det alltid torrt även vid kraftiga regn. Detta är historien om keltiska ingenjörer som inte syns någon annanstans.
Kilmalkedar förknippas med Saint Brendan the Navigator. andra biskopen av Irland efter Saint Patrick. Också med lokalt kända Saint Maolcethair (Malkedar) som dog 636. Byggnaden som fortfarande står där tills nu är från 1100-talet. För 900 år gammal är i perfekt skick. Kyrkogården runt är också gammal med äkta keltisk stensolur (fortfarande tickande)
Låt oss se en fantastisk utsikt från 1200 fot över havet, mycket nära den. Castlegregory Village och North Atlantic på ena sidan och Charming Dingle town och Dingle bay bakom.

We coupled our stay in Killarney with a day of touring the Ring of Kerry and a day of touring the Dingle peninsula. Tony, our driver and guide was lovely. He was sure to take us to sites both well traveled and more solitary. Our first stop was Inch Beach, which was gorgeous—giving us a glimpse of a surfing beach with a broad shoreline. After a coffee, we made our way to Dingle, stopping along the way to take in the picturesque views (literally). Tony gave us two hours to tour Dingle and enjoy a nice lunch in town. After Dingle we drove around the peninsula stopping at the beehive huts and a pub where Dolly Parton once walked in and gave a surprise performance. Tony was very knowledgeable about the area made sure we saw the best of the peninsula and the magnificence of the area. This is a great private tour and Tony was a very safe driver and gave a great tour of Dingle and the Sleigh Head.

We had a great tour! I felt. Little bad since this was day 2 and jet lag hit me so a I fell asleep early on. But once we hit a couple stops we perked up and had. A great tour. Seeing Dingle Peninsula in private tour was the way to go. You get to go where tour busses couldn’t. I know we saw things the big tours disn’t! Peter was super pleasant and local to Kenmare, so he was super knowledgeable about things in the area. He also offered us help if we needed it to get through the Beara Peninsa if we needed it!
